I am there

Posted by Orko on Jul-23-2007 12:04:

Yeah maybe...I guess its a good way to celebrate my bday.

I just want to hear some classics.

The TL for the CD was decent, some great tunes, that I would not have thought of putting on a classics CD. But, some very predictable ones as well.

on Yohan

Sandstorm is the one track that will get me dancing no matter what....its a classic that I wish DJs would throw into their sets once in awhile.....any crowd in Toronto would go nuts if a DJ completely shocked them with a little sandstorm.

I forget who the DJ was but it was a couple of years ago and he kept teasing everyone with sandstorm for two hours and finally at the end of his set he let it rip.

I want to see expert glowsticking when Mark O plays Sandstorm.

Or else you're fired!

Quick review I found on line;

Mark Oliver / Various
The Best Of Trance
By Sarah Ferguson

Riding Toronto transit to work every morning can be a depressing experience youre tired, grumpy and crammed into an underground tunnel filled with other tired and unexcitingly silent people. My top pick of the moment for those tense morning journeys is Mark Olivers The Best Of Trance, a two-disc mix. Solar Stones Seven Cities, Art of Trances Madagascar, Binary Finarys 1998 if you were listening to electronica from the trance genre when we entered the 21st century you will remember these, some of the finest examples of the style, so be ready to invoke the spirits and recall a time when raves were roaring in Canada. Everytime by Lustral and Greece 2000 by Three Drives (two back to back tracks on the first CD) appeared on Paul Oakenfolds Global Underground: New York, Volume 7 CD, which was released almost ten years ago. The tracks on this album represent a major accelerating period in trance and they embody the huge heart of the music, both texturally and lyrically. Its been too long since you heard Children by Tilt.(SPG)
