disappointing. the first 15 minutes was great and hard...and then it just kinda softened up and was just mediocre. Not nearly enough bass.

Top sets

MSTRKRFT
PREACH
DEADMAU5
ADAM SHERIDAN

I liked last years venue more than this years...

Tweed had alot more character than the concentration camp that was welland.

I only came for saturday night but had an amazing time. Havent danced that hard since wemf last year! Adam Sheridan rocked my socks when he dropped 'swing to harmony'

MSTRKRFT also were a solid stand out.. i was worried their commercial success would make em too mainstream and cheesy, but was more than delighted when i heard some dirty electro beats.

Mix master mike sure can mix! amazing set list dropping all the classics.

One thing i do miss is the outdoor stages.. theres just something about dancing beneath the starlit sky.

Cant wait for next year!

omg fun times fun times indeed

friday - arrived at around 11, 20min lineup wait. Barely got searched at all, they didnt even open our coolers. Heard bad stories from other people tho, I guess we got a nice lady. Anyways set up, got a lil drunk with beers. Went to check out pendulum, they were ok nothing too special. Id say they were better when i saw them at footy last time. There was always room to dance which is good, but crowd wasnt the greatest.

Turning off all music at 2 30? booo booo bad idea, my friday night barely just began. So we walked around to random spots, danced at renegade stages who just wouldnt stop playing, blazed and went to bed at around 4

got woken up at probably around 8am with the HARD POUNDING BASS of a mini stage litraly right beside our campsite. The dj there was blasting some serious hardstyle, haha the bass was shaking the ground. I continued "sleeping" to the sounds of hardstyle until about 11. THen some serious egg and bacon breakfast served by our friend, that totally hit hte spot.

Most of the day just walked around, really liked the stage that was right beside the washroom. Heard some really funky trancey breaks there and a couple of sick trance tracks. Also the stage closer to our tent was really good, sometimes house, sometimes trance. I heard
king of my castle and
Airbase - One Tear Away wwoww loved hearing this, blue sky sunshine and this track just took me away

main stage performers hhmmm Dose the Alien was pretty good, really interesting style a lot of genre blending between trance psy house breaks

Hatiras = fucking great, loved it
Adam Freeland = loved it, trancey breaks at some parts pure trance
MSKFIT = HOLY FUCKING SHIT AMAZING THeres no words to describe what he plays, it was a total mind fuck. definately wana see him again. And at the end of his set he turns off the music for a second, takes a giant sip from a bottle of whiskey and turns it back on hahahaha classic

Mark EG - booo this guy blows, dumb tard who the fuck even likes his music its so fucking repeditive loud and annoying, i wouldnt even call it music. Totally killed the vibe for me at the 4x4 stage

I liked parts of Preach and Bratans sets, a lot of housey sounding stuff and i got a bit sick of house by the end of saturday.

World of DNB was always rocking during saturday, Capital J was great so was Dillinja.

Great tunes from the mini stage in front of World of DNB, pure rockin tunes there everytime i went and always people jamming it up.

Energy 105 stage was great too, got to hear Joop - the future while passing by and a bit of funky vocal trance haha good times

Hardsound stage was a bit too much, most of the time that rattling was just fucking retarded. Honestly when it rattled all u hear is the rattling no other sounds. After 3-4am they turned down the rattling somehow.. and u could hear a nice bass and highs.. was in there for a bit of jump up hard stuff it was fun for a bit

some ****** stole my red adidas sweater from the 4x4 stage.. i just put it on the floor to the right and some1 punked it. what a bitch move honestly... it was pretty cold outside and inside i was sweating like a horse.

Indoor plumbing washrooms was a huge upgrade from last WEMF.

anyways WEMF = 9/10, now onto Eclipse

Nice meeting everybody, i'll see you at the next party

Techno but he inserts some hardtrance and hardstyle tracks here and there.

lol

why are you laughing????
who do u think wasnt generic???
who is so cool in ur opinion jelo and glaude? lol or mstrkrf
imo from all other headliners only chris liberator was decent, played nice new techno, like wehbba - 1000 volt, jamie taylor - redemption, bryant baker - combustion. also preach was half decent but his set was very generic.Same old shit everyone already heard 25 times and in addition to that some bullshit tracks here and there like see u smile for example.

I think its pathetic that at supposedly massive festival like wemf that at many points i had to go to the renegade stage in front of the pizza stand where they played some PROPER Progressive/tech/minimal instead of listening to generic mainstage beats.

Special mention to dj grimace which i heard sometime in the afternoon on the mainstage. That was some of the worst music i experienced in like the last 3 years. It was just sooo bad

WHO'S GOING TO POST PICTURES??????

...and phone cam video clips of all the debauchery like in Lopi's tent.

Largely acid techno mixed with hardstyle and hard trance.

First half of his set was mostly techno, and the 2nd half there was a lot of hard trance and hardstyle sounding tracks I noticed too.

I fucking loved the beats. No buddy moves around on stage as awesomely as Mark EG. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than Jelo!

Hate how jelo dances. He dances like a rooster. Like his beats are so unreal and cool, while they are just ok.

ps did anyone notice how on the screen it said

JELOL

lol

Liberator was FUCKING AWESOME.

His set was out of control, THE BEST set I heard at WEMF.

He had the fucking room by the balls... everyone was going off, it was sooo incredible. Such a memorable, incredible set!!

Man, way better than last year's main stage and renegade stage performances by him, and better to than the last time he was in Toronto back in Dec.

Fuck Liberator killed. So glad I caught his set. I'd forever have been disappointed if I'd missed it.

I'm with you there, dont particular like his music that much (LOVED the fucking shit Glaude was doing though! The guy's phenomenal, always has been!!), but watching him move just gives me a headache. How many times can you bang and bob your your head back and forth like that like a fucking muscular chicken?

i dunno, i just dont feel Jelo's vibe at all.

Glaude took me to fucking cloud nine though. Genius.
