Managed to get essentials to my Sisters house...but my gf's house is totally cut off by road (All 4 ways to get to her house are flooded by atleast 3 - 4 ft of water).
She has enough supplies for the moment. I didn't really want to walk (or Wade as it may be the case) 2 miles to her house with 5 gallons of water...especially Evian...that shit is like Gold at the moment, i'd get mugged!

hehe. I love how we just deal with things the best as we can, then they get a tiny puddle in london in comparison and suddenly it's the end of the world.

and a cool-looking pic from a dam up in the north of our county

we have our own niagra

there's been a few overall iirc including a woman who went into labour at 21 weeks & had twins which then died as she was being airlifted to hospital, her house was flooding which i think caused her waters to break. quite sad.

golf courses for some reason always seem to flood. the one here on base, man, its been pretty bad too. oviously not as bad as the one you showed, because the water level always seems to go down w/in an hour or so...not days later

they're actually built to drain into certain spots, but the grass is all very short, and can't absorb much water.

Edit: Water atleast 7 feet deep here.
