the anglos already massively left for Toronto, separating now will have less of an impact

+1

LOL at clumping the largest metropolis and suburb together.

Living in Downtown Toronto has nothing in common with living in suburbia regardless of whether its Brampton, or Mississauga.

The list should should specify a demographic (ie. best city to raise a family) because many people I know (single and without children) do not agree with the results.

Just another sorry reminder of how few places I currently would want to live in Canada. (Although I plan on visiting many of them)

Wow! How did Guelph make 4th place??? There is literally fuck all to do in that town. It took them 12 years to allow Wal-Mart to build a store for fuck sake. The ONLY reason that city is growing the way it is, is because of its proximity to Toronto and the rest of the GTA. I lived and went to school at the University of Guelph and simply put, I will never voluntarily move back to that town again! And Ottawa being first??? Please. Maybe if they had an NHL team that didn't shadow the definition of choke in the dictionary. Fucking Senashits!! In all seriousness though, it is a shame that there isnt more Atlantic Canadian places on this list. PEI,NS,NB, and NFLD are some extremly bueatiful and clean places to live, not to mention rich with Canadian history.

The sandwhiches from the deli at Michaelangelo's market helped as well.

Brantford ?? Seriously ?

I don't get it. What's with all the hostility towards the list, and all the bitching about major metropolitan areas being bundled together? Many of you complain about the fact that cities ranked above Toronto are boring, with fewer attractions. That list was compiled based on calculated ratios. Nothing in there should be that surprising if you've visited any of those cities.

It's pretty difficult to actually live in Toronto. People can't afford housing here. At least normal people. Most of the houses are owned by really old immigrants that had the foresight to get some land around here. Basically, people stay here until they make enough money to buy in Orillia or some other shite town.

If you want to be laughed at big time in Montreal, just mention THIS to any Montrealers (francos or anglos)

It seems like nobody outside Quebec got over this separatism "threat"

GET OVER IT! Nobody gives a flying f*ck about this anymore!

ya never mind the general dirtiness and sketchiness of Brantford. I guess I shouldn't talk, Hamilton isn't much better...
