Solid stuff here, don't know my head from my ass when it comes to Goa, but this was a delight.

good to see you branching back this way a bit rob tbh goa & psy can be so good when done well, while trance itself is a dirty word to use for many people, there is some cracking stuff around for those who're not afraid to look beyond the obvious.

Sweet, thanks!

I'll probably make another goa mix sometime maybe in a month or two.

The first half of this mix was great. I'll be listening to the second half soon.

Great to hear!

i listened to this set at work the other day.

some of the tunes i liked pretty much, some i found hilarious (dunno why, but some psy tunes just sound hilarious to me, like they're trying too hard or something )
and the mixing was good on some transitions, but on others the lack of mixing really put me off a couple of times. like one tune ends and another starts. i found that a bit weird in a dj set and i felt that it broke the flow a bit too much.

Thanks for the only criticism so far.

Yeah some of transitions I found quite good and others not as well. However mixing Goa is much harder (I find) than psytrance because as soon as the bassdrums go in, it is way to busy and makes bad transistions. I also mixed a few tracks out of key and it is really noticeable.

Many of these tracks were mixed during the ambient parts because it sounds better and it gives a nice breakdown that kind of reminded me like what Oakenfold did in 94. My all out goal was to have a dj set somewhat like Oakenfold's Goa mix.

Thanks

This would be amazing to hear out in the desert... I was time-warped by this mix, lots of classic sounds, nice!!

The mixing for me is the same as skip commented. And although your intro/outro mixing is in fact right in line with how Goa was actually meant to be mixed traditionally, if you could somehow have a collection of goa tracks like this mixed smoothly and all harmonically, that would be killer.

Some really great tracks on here as well.

I tried my best to mix all harmonically but some tracks I just really felt should be in there like Mahadeva, Teleport and Ganesha whatever the hell it is.
