I go to look and the footsteps get louder.. Im like holy crap im trippin or somethin, but they keep getting closer and closer.

I run to get a flashlight outta the cabinet in the kitchen, run back and the footsteps stop.. i turned on the flashlight and BAM!!!!!

DUDE. I am glad I don't leave my toilet seats up. I'm not worried about them coming during the short time I spend on the toilet, more so than sneaking in during the middle of the night.

just be sure to turn the lights on when you wake up in the middle of the night to do your duties!!!!!!!

Just heights and things that want me for lunch. I mountain bike in Chino Hills State Park sometimes which has mountain lions and hearing noises in the bushes can be unsettling. Bears are kinda sketchy also. I had one wake me up while camping in Yosemite ripping the door off a Fiero to get at a pizza some dumb ass brought.

Wow!

I have a fear of unsecured heights There is a whole section of phobia testing that I will have to go through during the try out for H.R.T. There is a test for claustrophobia where you must wear a gas mask with the eyes completely blacked out and crawl through underground heating vents while the heaters are on, a test for automysophobia in which you must swim through a stagnant sewer, a test for acrophobia where you must climb to the top of an unstable 45 foot tower and stand with your toes hanging over the edge then ride on a helicopter skid unsecured with a blacked out gas mask over your face.

When I was young I was terrified of balloons because they could pop at any moment. Now I have based my entire career around volitile chemicals and explosives....how ironic

I have the same problem!!! I live at the base of the Angeles National Forest so we have all sorts of animals roaming around my house. About two weeks ago I heard something big climb over my fence and then knock over the trash cans at about 3am. I assumed some scumbag was trying to break in or steal my car or my bike. I grabbed my gun and flashlight and crept up behind what I thought was a psycho, took up stance and flipped my light on only to see a family of HUGE possums ripping apart my garbage. The possums have now taken up residence in my garbage cans and will not leave no matter how many times I remove them. They have a date with the gas chamber. I can't risk them biting me or a family member when we go to throw out trash.

I didn't realize so many people were like me and are afraid of heights. I can't even get near a window in a hotel without my knees going weak.

WOW! Never imagined so many were afraid of heights! I actually thought there would be more peeps afraid of clowns!

I don't live near the hills but there are freakin possums that come around. I've even had them come in my kitchen (I leave back door open a bit for my cat) and start eating the cat food.
I heard that if you feed the possums alka seltzer, they kinda blow up and if you crunch up foil paper (making sharp edges and kinda wrapping it around some food) and they eat it, it tears/cuts up their insides!

I have a fear of not being able to breath. I used to have asthma as a kid, and every time i'd have an asthma attack and I didn't have my inhaler I thought I was going to die.

Also scared of being eaten by sharks when in the ocean or mountain lions when i'm hiking the backcountry.

im afraid of anything sharp near my eyes. I got glass in my right eye when I was a little kid and it nearly left me blind. I had a deep slash across the cornea, got stitches and had to wear a patch over my eye for a few months. So yeah, ever since then I am deathly afraid of anything sharp near my eyes.

Also, I am afraid of randomly getting shot/stabbed when I am in public. No joke. Theres a lot of people that hate me. Haha.
