every once in a while, its okay.... but when theres like 30 people in the club, and the same dude is doing it as if he's in the middle of a massive party at dc-10.... fuck off already, you did too many drugs.

Because it adds SOOO much to the vibe to see some overly-cracked out person blowing a whistle out of beat to the music.

They are too fucked up and enjoying the drugs - not the party, does the toronto scene really need more people like that?

If whistling is acceptable at clubs, I should be allowed to bring a tuba to a club and blow that too.

Posted by OutcastTO on Aug-08-2007 17:45:

Whistles don't bug me as much as that chick who yells "oh fucking yeah" all night long.

OH FUCKING YEAH!

She was entertaining for awhile, but one night I swear she yelled it out at least once per track and it got old fast.

She also sucked my boyfriend into a bizzaro-conversation hole of which she just went off on the most random things - I only caught part o the conversation, but it involved marrying sasha, communicating with aliens and the circle of life involving a fish some how.

I got confused trying to follow what she was saying, fled the scene leaving him alone to deal with her :P

yay or nay?

why..??

are you planning on whistling at the next event..??

i dont see how it could be that much of a nuisance.. it would be extremely difficult to whistle over 100+db for an extended period of time..

Let's do an experiment.

You stand beside a drunken whistler all night and see how much tolerance you have.

If you can stand the whistling for the whole night, I'll let you slap me with a tuba.

I couldn't do that if I tried. I can only whistle loud enough so I can hear it when I'm in a cloud (I can't use the finger method).

Unless my brain is playing tricks on me again, I think he's talking about using actual whistles in a club

how about i keep the tuba, and tell the drunk whistler to slap you..?

ive never encountered an annoying whistler.. let alone a persistent one.. im sure if you move from RIGHT BESIDE HIM.. the music will drown him out..

Oh believe me. It gets really annoying. And whistle seems to cut through the music, esp. during breakdowns.

how do they hear you? haha
that earsplitting sound they call whistling must pierce their inner eardrums, because it definitely does mine.

idk maybe its me, but its a lot easier to stand when im sober, when im not its all i can concentrate on and personally, i rather eat my own liver than stand next to a whistler for a long period of time.

LOL

I whistle like a hooligan, enough to make your ears bleed.........only at a soccer game or concert....when it's the right atmosphere.
