Since we came all the way from Delawhere to meet him again, this was cool. I took my 8 year old twins to the signing since they cant go see him anywhere else and he got right up out of his chair and put his arms around both of them and then all the flashes went off, mine of course and about 10 or so around us. He seemed to be very happy, maybe it was the money but boy did he make my kids happy. I have some great pics, I'll post them as soon as I figure out how. His wife didnt seem to be too happy being there. Oh well. We were.

well... not to defend Paul but imagine yourself in his place. You see thousands of people each week, you run your own label, you got business affairs to take care of, home that you rarely see, in between you got to produce new material, sign new artists, review tracks for your sets, check into hotels, fly around the world, yada yada yada. As fun as it seems to us, it gets old and quick. Besides, based on what I know about Paul, he's not a very social person. Part of it possibly has to do with being German and also shy.

I also happen to know that quite a few musicians - be it rock, electronic, etc. are usually not the most social bunch. And make no mistake about it - he is there to sell you a CD, yet I doubt he gets much more than $1/cd. So, he sells 2000 CDs. He made $2000 for like 2 hours of his work... not bad but that's like chump change for him. I think it's a rather nice gesture of him to have these events to meet the fans.

Also, ask yourself how would you feel if you had to shake hands and hug and smile like a retard with thousand strangers? He may have been jet-lagged, he may have had sh!t runs from eating at Manhattan Taco Bell infested with rats - who knows? Don't judge him.

Besides, as someone pointed out - the cult of the DJ is retarded and insane and you deserve no better. Musician worship - ok. DJ worship???? stupid.

but if he wassnt in the mood to meet his fans cause he was jet lagged or watever
i dont mean to sound like a dick but thats the point of a "fan meet n greet/ cd signing"
ur gonna be shakeing hands,signing stuff,poseing for pics,talking
its part of his job he should suck it up

well, i bet you had a job or part of job that you didn't really enjoy, right? It's like working for Geek Squad - you may hate interacting with all the customers but you love stealing all their pr0nz and soft and movies. So... take it with a grain of salt but don't have to like it or do a good job. No one is gonna fire him either ;o)

Ok now? So what's the problem with the hating on the ppl who went and on PvD??

PvD has got a busy schedule and if any of you follow up on it you will know that. I highly doubt the straining he puts himself is solely based on $$.

2 years ago right after CP he flew to Miami.. got to Space an hour late but still managed to play from 2-5 am. The year before that @ 11 pm our time he is banging shit out at Sensation white only for 20 hours later to be playing in Miami 4th of July bash.

His management has got him on lock and a meet and greet should be sufficient enough for true fans. I would have gone but I forgot as always.

As for the twins thing. That seems really cute and you need to post that pic up!!
