expensive hair salons can mess you up just as good as cheap ones...I used to get my hair done for $130 and she sucked

that's 10 trips for me !

I go to the US Senate barbershop. $20.

i have 2 places i go to (both are owned by the same company and they're Aveda salons) - one of them is a girl i've been seeing for about 3 years now, but she's a higher level stylist so it's $30 for wash/cut/style including tip. the other place i can usually snag an appointment with a graduate (less experience) who's just as good and pay only $17.

i usually see my regular girl when i can afford it, just because she's a sweetheart and i like talking to her.

I get mine done for free.

My mate's girlfriend is a stylist so she normally comes around to our flat once in a while and cuts it, he gives her the tip later

The last time I cut my hair was in May and for wash/cut/style was I believe something like $45 which isn't too bad when you think about it. But yes, good salons can also mess up your hair. You just have to find a good stylist.

How is one so stupid as to pay anything near this for a cut, wash and or style? I mean Id poay that if I was getting an huge big up-do done for something.. but for an everyday trip to the dresser.. um no.

actually i find it to be quite the opposite. when it mixes with water it creates a thicker stickier substance, similar to mixing flour and water... making it a bit difficult to rinse out of hair.

Note to self, stop reading lucids posts...

Take cold water to it first. Or take a wet clothes, rub from root to tip, and then take a spare comb if you desire and try to "comb" it out. then wash.

To begin with I'm far from stupid. Also,I live in Manhattan and everything is that much more expensive plus its to relax, wash, trim and style my hair every five weeks. Finding a good stylist that can do black hair is hard so I'm not leaving her.

i got cheap-to-decent priced cuts all my life 'till a few years back. i always looked like shit.

so i kept it long. for a good while. then, in feb, i was like... holy shit, it's long... and the heat... i can't stand it... and i went to an expensive place.
