Ya, I think it is a necessity. The whole show is joke built upon joke from previous episodes, so it makes it kind of hard to just jump in and watch it. I think that is why fox pulled it. Poor decision on their part.

if nobody's watching, you can't blame them.

Narrator: Gob was recently hired by the Bluth Company's rival, Sitwell Enterprises. And although he started off well...

Gob: 52% of the country is single. That's a market that's been dominated by apartment rentals. Let's take some of that market. I call it "Single City."

Narrator: ...his ideas failed to evolve.

Gob: It's, like, "Hey, you want to go down to the whirlpool?" "Yeah, I don't have a husband." I call it "Swing City."

Stan Sitwell: Let's get into some new areas, if you don't mind.

Narrator: But Gob continued to fine-tune his first one.

Gob: How do we filter out the teases? We don't let them in.

Gob: This goes for the guys, too. Because sometimes the guys are tapped out. But check your lease, man. Because you're living in Fuck City.

Stan Sitwell: You're fired.

later...

Gob: I'm an ideas man, Michael. I think I proved that with Fuck Mountain.

lol, this show was too damn good

^I just watched that one last night.

Remember when Stan Sitwell's eyebrow fell into the bowl of candy, haha. something along the lines of...

Gob: One of this guy's eyebrows just fell in the bowl of candy beans.
Sitwell: I always carry a spare.
Gob: Well I hope you also carry a spare bowl of candy beans!

Finally decided to start watching this show from the beginning: infinitely better. I'm starting season 3 right now so we'll see how it goes from there but so far the writing has been absolutely genius. Anybody that hates this show is slow.

Season 3 is awful. Stop yourself now before you ruin it for yourself.

Posted by L.E.N. on Jan-23-2008 05:31:

It took me a few episodes to get into it but I really like it. I need to get the seasons.

Of course seeing it be a hit 3 years earlier in the rest of the world gave you no clue to this?

Actually he didnt want it to be picked up by any one of those. They all asked him for the show, he said no.

The entire Arrested Development can be found on Hulu.com...for free

Maybe the offers they gave him weren't what he was looking for?
