seriously, is there a reason everyone's pretending its august again?

It really pisses me off that some really talented musicians out there are making pennies, and an ass clown like this is making millions.

That would be the hiphop today.

We need more talented guys like Common in the hiphop world.

eh i'd attribute the dopeness of that song more to blackstar than common to be honest. common's good but not that amazing imo

can we turn this into a good hip-hop thread?

i'll start

No doubt Mezzir, you know Hip Hop is nothing but shit nowadays. But I still got over 80 cds and mixtapes of the classics.

Some of the timeless classics.

I respect artists like Common, Talib Kweli Mos Def and other lyricist keeping the movement alive. But not even those dudes can't touch this level of Hip Hop. The Wu is the illest crew to ever bless the hip hop game.

My all-time favorite hip-hop song:

It drops deep, as it does on my breath. I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death.

One of Nas's best verse. He was way better back then , he should've retired years ago instead of going back and forth with clowns like 50 cent. Some real classics you got up there.

Last video and I'm done. This is one of the best Nas tracks I've ever heard.

A couple more commercial tracks I like

patty cake, patty cake: I'm the baker man

Birthdays was the worst days, now we sip champagne when we thirstay.

The original I Monster track was already awesome, but I like the addition of the rap verses.

That last one is of particularly personal relevance this weekend.

hahaha, I like the "OH SNAP!" at the end. Other than that, he reminded me of Wesley Willis.
