Probably . . .

Got some friends in town that weekend and will be in the Gaslamp Saturday night for the Padres/Dodgers debauchery.

Didn't catch him earlier this year at Belo (another Sunday night/had to work Monday) but was there last year @ 4th & B. I remember it being one of the fastest two hours I can ever remember. Built a very elegant set. I was smiling ear to ear. Then Felix came on and starting lobbing bombs. I had to leave then.

We'll have some kind of thread for the event as it gets closer.

Just saw Digweed vs. Sasha at Virgin Atlantic Music Festival in Baltimore two weeks ago and he KILLED it. He is spinning some really good tracks right now.

Actually, we'll get some Kazell which is a perfectly good side dish.

The last Mayan show was free; the others, not as free.

Yeah the last one was but the others weren't. Those were before Bas started coming out.

This probably why Avalon does not respect them and never will!

Thanks god Avalon is got some good lineups and it is a disrespectful to Digweed to have Spundae promoting this show!!!!!!

They need to move back to Circus and take their crowd with them or they can start promoting oops sending emails out for the hiphop club across the street

Stop whining like a little punk!

Just show up early with a college ID and you're good.

Digweed isn't playing in the UK.

I went to Digweed at The Mayan 3 times and only paid once...and even then it was only like $10.

And my point is that he's probably not getting paid any more for playing on a US holiday. Why would he? He's English

its a special event at a club...

hence, shits gona happy...

imagine the door cover...

can someone say: hide your wallets...

EARLY ARRIVAL highly suggested...

if you ever look at a presale tickets terms and conditions, they always say something like:

will not honor after "X" time period...

so pleasseeeeeee, get there early!!!!

The fine print:

TICKETS MUST BE CLAIMED BY 11.30PM to guarantee IMMEDIATE ADMISSION. We will hold space for everyone who claims their ticket(s) before 11:30PM. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 11:30PM? After 11.30PM, we can no longer limit capacity for you and we will start admitting general admission guests up to our capacity. If you arrive after AVALON has reached capacity, you will be given PRIORITY ADMISSION. WHAT IS PRIORITY ADMISSION? Once Avalon reaches capacity, those holding ticket(s) will be admitted before those in the general admission or guest list lines, but you must wait for people already admitted to leave the club to reestablish available capacity.

Oh yeah, then there's this from the clubplanet email that I received:

Avaland presents John Digweed | Saturday September 1st | This event will sell out

thank you for posting that...

thats a disclaimer that all presales have!

i've seen people get fucked over when a lot of the top 10 djs play!

True... if you like standing in line for hours vs minutes

hiya, iv just finished my soccer coaching for the summer and have got a week off next week to do what the fook i like around LA before i head back to UK.. thinking masssively about diggers next week but the coaches im with probably wont be into it for the whole night..
... so... from what youve all just said the chances of goin there after another club kicks out at 2am will be remote? and are they only open till 4 at avalon?

iv bin here for 2 months n need some proper music in my life!!

avalon is usually open til 7, but you may find a decent sized line if you try to get in around 2am.

Posted by |Thrax| on Aug-24-2007 21:54:

Avalon will likely go until 7am maybe even 9.

Posted by 72hrpartyanimal on Aug-24-2007 21:58:

presale ticket and early arrival is highly suggested for the Diggers night...

its gona be one of those nights!

Posted by Ewlesy on Aug-24-2007 22:30:

so if i would get a ticket they would still accept them at 2am ish? recent nights out in hollywood are only JUST getting me accustomed to west coast door 'rules' !

It's a tough call...usually they won't even accept pre-sale past midnight. I'd try to get there by 11.30 at the latest.

seriously... events like this with headling dj's... the rules change...

the disclaimer that someone posted is very correct...

having stood outside of club doors (passing flyers), i've seen people be denied...

even with hard tickets...

when the venue is at capacity... thats it!

kinda sucks...

but trust me, it happens...

hence, early arrival!
