Fifth Gear isn't a bad car show.

Yeah its not bad. Tiff Needall is an all time champ

actually one of the things I love most about Top Gear is that it is just beautifully photographed.
They really put the effort into making their segments look and sound really really damn good.

Talking about car shows, has anyone seen "Test Drive" and also "The Car Show", fuck why can't Australian's make car shows? they're so bloody bad, they absolutely approach every car with the mindset "Can't say anything bad or else they won't give us a car again", so as a result every single review is that the car is great, brilliant, perfect, when in fact they are shit.

Even our car mags are no good, every month I have to buy UK mags

I'd imagine there's a fair whack of budget for Top Gear to be as nicely produced as humanly possible, something like one or two billion people watch it!
Sort of watched some of the local shows and they really are just dreadful things that are just, so horribly contrived it just makes you wince knowing the people doing them really don't have a clue and they try way too hard.
Don't really know about the car magazines, I guess they're a bit like the local car shows, way too much corporate pandering.

The day I got back from Europe I was having lunch at home and one of these car shows came on tv, they were test driving some Ford and they had a "guest test driver". Who was Michael Clarke. Who is sponsored by Ford. Oh yeah, yeah impartial review right there.

Only thing worse than the car shows in Australia are the music shows which are all completely and utterly arse but I don't think they where ever really very good in the first place.

Just watched the 1.5 hour special "Razor" that's set during Adamas time on the Pegasus as the Commander and apparently sets up alot of things for season 4. The central character adds a new dimension to the show and I quite liked her. Quite weird to hear an Aussie accent too.

SPOILER
It's a shame she dies though and it's interesting what that old guy (A god?) tell her about Kara Trace being the "Harbinger of Death".
/SPOILER

Should be a good final season and looks like they have got back what they lacked in Season 3. Good storytelling that doesn't get bogged down in too much character development.

EDIT ... why is there no spoiler codes here, or an ability to somehow mask a spoiler?!?

Yes I know, I couldn't find a way to do it on TA Am I missing something?

Yea that's the thing, it will air in US on 24th Nov, but who cares, it's online already. Pretty much a movie. 1.5 hours without breaks.

there is something already out though. its just one dvd, looks like a movie, not part of a series box. maybe its like a movie length pilot or something?

fledz: you can set the colour of your text to black, or whatever the background colour is, so people have to highlight it to read it. can't remember the exact tags though.

yeah, there are 2. remember BSG didn't start in season 1, there was a piloted, movie-length episode before that.

season 4 has some of the best writing and performances you'll ever see on television. scifi at its best.

BS is good, very good! Acting, visuals, the theme are excellent but what I don't get is the way ppl dress. It's FFS exactly like the Earth fashion despite we were suppoused to be an offshot colony that left the federation 10000+ yrs ago. Just annoyin
