First of all I doubt you've seen Everyone, and second of all why did you see him twice, in one week at that if he was such shit?

+1 to that. this is the guy that once jumped up onto the deck-stand mid-set, accidentally smacked his head against a light fixture & carried on DJing with blood streaming down his face & played til the end of his set. that's motherfucking hardcore

eddie halliwell also scores an honourable mention for jumping into the crowd at air that one time

I've read tons about him. he gets on the mic himself for a laugh, smashes records on his head then eats pieces of it and so on. His dedication is great, even if I don't like the music he's into now, I have some cracking trance sets from him back in 1990s and early 00s

Donald Glaude

Posted by MindShifter on Aug-23-2007 15:57:

howells/burridge imo

Posted by lcid on Aug-23-2007 16:16:

Burridge probably tops the list for me. he's so animated and silly behind the decks... constantly making funny faces and squiggling around like a worm on a wet sidewalk.

also agree with those of you who said Vath, Howells, Glaude, Halliwell, and Junkie XL.

Posted by sleepydragon on Aug-23-2007 16:36:

yeah mark eg
hes a nutcase when i saw him at magna just outside sheffield he kept hiding under the decks and pretended to shag a blow up sheep.

Posted by SPANIARD on Aug-23-2007 16:45:

J00F stands out for me. Maybe it's because I know the history behind it, but it seems like he appreciates every person who is on the dance floor. He's been through tons of shit so music is prolly his best escape and he seems grateful to be where he is. I'd say he's not the most energetic DJ but definetly 'feels' the music and helps provide a vibe for his music.

Mark EG again.. and Eddie.

I, also, give a +1 to Mark EG.

The guy is fucking mental: headbutts monitors (on more than a few occasions, he hit them so hard he knocked himself out), breaks vinyl over his head, throws them at people.

There's a great tale a long time ago of Mark EG playing an underground rave, and the Police storm the building and tear gas the place. There's smoke everywhere and people scramble for the exits, but Mark is still there on the decks, going off hard, thinking the tear gas is from the fog machines. So he's headbanging for like 5 minutes, and no one's around to tell him "Hey Mark, the police are here, get off the decks" and the music's still going and he's going nuts, and the place is practically empty but he can't see the floor because the tear gas is in his eyes and he's coughing up a lung, but he refuses to leave his post and it just makes him go off harder. Finally a security guard gets up on the platform and tries to get him to stop, but he refused.

The police then cut the power and rushed the decks, believing he was on PCP or something.

Good times.

just go back one page and watch the video if you still haven't.

Posted by Clovis on Aug-23-2007 20:25:

Yeah Donald Glaude can yell and scream all he wants but he sucks at mixing or just puts 0 effort into it.

I'll +1 to Jake and say that I could give a fuck less if the DJ is swinging his arms about like a clown.

Though DANNY HOWELLS has his moments of hilarity.

Whoever said Tiesto is a moron. (yeah you Spirit5 ) Doing homo-erotic hand waves and the jesus pose is NOT a performance, it's just sad.

I'll find some sets out of him on the house mic. it's pretty funny usually

best one was a nye set where he got up & told people to jump, then he said a couple more things and shouts "and that's all from me, cos i'm FUCKED" it just sounds hillarious

I'm a fan of the random head accessories, myself.

Posted by fury on Aug-23-2007 21:00:

Danny Tenaglia and Judge Jules can be pretty animated behind the decks, in addition to the others mentioned.

Posted by DJ Dingel on Aug-23-2007 22:10:

Thumbs up to Donald Glaude. (Sorry, Clovis, but I think the mixing usually works pretty well.)

Thumbs down to DJ Taj. (I saw him the same night as Glaude once, and maybe he's energetic, but Taj's tunes are horrid.)
