Eating too much beef?

Posted by montana on Sep-02-2007 09:25:

wouldn't call it beef, but one of the more obvious ones, trancewise would be Paul van Dyk vs. ATB, paul spitting several flames towards atb in several interviews and ATB calling him on it on his forum.
PvD also used to have disagreements with Corvin Dalek, he has called his music shit in several interviews. and of course the uberobvious one. every "top10" djmag ever vs. DJ Sammy

and.... ye, you have Dave Clarke vs. Richie Hawtin.

I think you can close that pvd vs atb thing since 2004 when paul played marrakech in his radio show and presented the track with the words "the next song is by our colleague atb"

Carl Cox once got into a huge brawl with Dave Dresden over a chicken sandwich.

Wasn't PvD's main beef with ATB the "cheesiness" of his tracks? Seems like he's made a complete 180 re that given his latest album... :P

I don't know if it qualifies as beef, but Richie Hawtin is a minimal pitbull. During the span of his career he has caused so much shit in a public way that you sometimes wonder if he might not be rabid. The WMC 2006 footage= priceless. He has also had problems with people he has shared the stage with, i just can't remember right now.
Don't mess with Richie.

edit : and i'm talking about someone other than clarke.

I would go to a Dresden gig (with cox only in the audience - although imagine that) and pay $60 entry charge just to see that

he played after dave clarke at creamfields once, clarke lasy tune was zombienation, hawtin stopped the record took it off the deck and threw it into the crowd - or so the story goes. I wasn't there to witness it.

hehe, if that was true (not saying that it isn't) I can't imagine Dave Clarke sitting idly and do nothing about it.

Dave is quite famous for his grumpy mood with little tolerence for people he feels intrude his privacy (he really doesn't like trance either).

I read an interview in which he was asked why he doesn't seem to like people (as he always complaining about them). His answer: it's not people I have a problem with, it's humanity
