The vocals are terrible, but I don't see how you dismiss the instrumentals as "nah".

I'm pretty sure you did just see so. I rate Hybrid over dougan myself, not because he's different, but because Hybrid have done more stuff to my tastes over the years.

And Hyper is one guy, who made 3 good records when Breaks was at it's very shortlived best, comparing him to hybrid is nothing short of retarded

Is it fuck. Hybrid's arrangments don't come close. They're decent producers and some of their remixes are alright, but they can't write shit-all of their own. Sounds pretty, no soul.
