If you're refering specifically to military might then China is also a superpower... if you're refering to econimics... the USA is not fairing too well as of late.

America's economy isnt doing good at all, your right. its about at the level it was in 1999 but its still higher than 99% of country's anyways. As soon as people who cant afford loans learn their lesson and stop going bankrupt, the usa will fare a bit better.

Industry. They aren't nearly as technologically advanced as many country's. They will need gasoline when the world doesn't offer it anymore.

Too many people = a lot of problems in many aspects of the country.
