(not...)
so your talking about trance djs that havent played in mtl yet right? or havent in a while..
marco v
marcel woods
quivver
solarstone
john askew
adam white (dunno what his style is nowadays)
menno de jong
m.i.k.e push
i'd put j00f here but surprisingly he's already booked
hmm then again with the amount of stuff going on next months i dont think mtl needs more bookings right now.. better to spread it out
I would really like to see a rise in the variety of trance djs that are being brought here in Montreal.
Here is a list of who I would like to see in no specific order:
- M.I.K.E (definitely, his style would also reach out to the techno, electro-house, prog and minimal lovers because you never know what he's going to play when he's on the decks)
- Menno De Jong and/or any of his Intuition label artists such as:
Airbase, Leon Bolier, Cliff Coenraad, Jonas Steur, Orkidea etc... maybe like an Intuition party of some sort would definitely blow away everyone.
- Oakenfold (I know he's a drugged up old guy now but still... it's oakie)
- Super8 and Tab
- Giuseppe Ottaviani
- Re:Locate
- 4 Strings
- Kyau and Albert
- Breakfast
- Alex M.O.R.P.H (!!)
- Joop
and so on...

KrinKer stop trolling this thread and annoying people just for the sake of being annoying.
It's ok, you may not like Trance, but we do, life's a bitch in that way as well.
Also I never knew that taste in a certain genre could make you superior to other people, thanks for clarifying that man. I guess people who like pop are next to GOD then...
Andy Moor is a nice booking!
John Askew.... it's the choice loll

then troll away from this thread haha : )
I don't even know why I responded to Krinker, I normally just ignore haters like him. I guess I was bored..
So I'll just keep doing that, ignore...it's the smallest dogs that make the most noise.
Krinker is being secretly funded by the late ANF
He's right about the trance though.. I would see SVD and Markus Schulz only if they laid it heavy on the techno in their sets. Is this thread some sort of market research?
Right or wrong, you can't change another person's tastes just by dissing the genre. If you're not into a certain genre, it's evident that all the songs produced in that genre will sound alike to you.
It really depends if you actually listen to most of the songs produced in a certain genre or not. If you just happen to skim through each song obviously you're going to think "pff all these songs sound the same! fuck Trance it's just the same thing since '99 blah blah blah..."
Same thing could be said about House music also, or Techno, or Minimal for that matter...
This whole forum is called TRANCE addict, I don't find it weird at all that Trance is being discussed here
Anyways that's just my 2cents.

Originally posted by Enigmatik Excuse me, did you miss reading the thread title? It has the word "Trance" in it. You OBVIOUSLY do not like it, so what are you doing here?! I fuckin love it when people start on this Trance-bashing kick and use words like "it's all the same shit" and "30 min STUPID build-ups" and "hands in the air" to support something that is nothing more than your OWN OPINION. You don't like Trance, and that's fine, we don't have to like the same shit. But have a little respect and let us, the people that like it, discuss and share ideas about it..You just do not miss one occasion to bash it as much as you can. And it's getting booooring to be honnest. You do not see me nor any Trance head here bash what YOU like. So we expect the same kind of respect. Kthanksbye. |

I bet if one of you trance geeks went onto Montrealnights and started dissing house, those dudes wouldn't write 3 paragraph long responses defending their house musak.
Face it, you defend trance because it needs defending to keep afloat, the superstar DJ era is over. What guys like Armin and Ferry do nowadays will simply lose it's entertainment value.
The scene is getting smarter, people want fresh stuff and the trance lot can't deliver.
The new thing is what, tech-trance? Notice how far tech-trance is leading towards being techno/tech house?
SVD's most popular tunes are housy, and he's your new savior no?
Seriously, the whole EDM scene is hopefully on it's way to being picked up, shaken, and set back down. (LOLMETAPHOR)
Trance is on it's way out, a tech/prog hybrid of house is what's becoming the "in" thing, and for once, conformity looks good.
SASHA IS BACK MOFOS, HIS ESSENTIAL MIX MADE ARMIN CRY AND NOW HE'S COMING FOR THE REST OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when you like EDM you like everything... i love tech house to progg to tech to techno to trance...this how you become wise enough musically speaking!
neo trance FTW!!
next step is nano house...after micro house...MORE BLEEP, LESS MELODIES PLZ!
