oh man on this day six years ago, it was my first day of high school at stuyvesant high school, which is located like no more then 10 blocks away from the trade center. I can still remember how they made us walk all across town, then over the brooklyn bridge.So many of my friends parents died in that place.

i rememeber going to class early 6 years ago for an anthropology class taught by a lady from india. she mentioned that planes crashed into a tower, we said nawww. then after the test I went home and saw the news.


and of course my roommate had the remote and he was flipping between news coverage and a cheesy cycling movie on hbo.....when we flipped back we saw the towers collapsin.


that anthro prof missed 2 weeks of class after that, I think she was getting some threats...even though she was india.

I'm not 100% sure.

But no one drives to the city.. they usually take some type of Mass Transit. After something like that I doubt MTA was running according to schedule. They prob stopped incase of another hit at a Subway.

basically when it happened, the whole transit authority stopped, hence they had to evacuate over 2000 kids, and the best solution was to walk cross town to the bridge away from all the smoke and chaos.

Not that much. When I turned the TV on and saw (live) the 2nd plane hitting the WTC, I thought an epic war was going to break out in the US. I feared for the death of innocent civilians because of a bellicose leader messed up in the head. Turns out I was partially right.

The war happened in relatively unimportant countries, and the deceased are now as important to World History as those who perished in Darfur. Unfortunately, in a hundred years, they will most likely be part of a footnote in an encyclopedia. Once another president steps in, we'll find out that little has changed: the Middle East will be a mess, Afghanistan will be a poor landlocked country in Central Asia and America will be... America.

I remember the day quite well. I was doing diy in my bedroom, fixing some new stair railingsu p & a curtain rail and my mate texted me. I thought he was just messing around, then I turned the tv on & saw it. It was shocking to watch, as a close friend from my childhood was working out there at the time, and it was a couple of days before he got hold of everyone. Then that night the bombings began, or at least soon after, it seemed so surreal to watch.

i was on the morning conference call with most of AA's upper management when SOC interrupted, saying we had two planes missing. then we collectively watched the second tower get hit.

in memory of my friends, colleagues, and all others lost on september 11th, rest in peace.

I hope Jason, the all-star quarterback, isn't going to be at the 10 year reunion. He totally ruined the 5 year one last year with his no-rules kinda attitude and conflicting deltoids. The women were practically slipping in his sex puddles.

Class of '01 was such a rough year. The World Trade Center didn't even have a fucking chess club :/

I woke up & had to go to early morning calc...got there & sat down, & somebody said a plane hit the wtc, & I laughed & said to stop making up shit. He always screwed around so I figured he thought it would be funny, but he kept insisting on it, & then somebody else walked in & sat down, & said it actually did happen. They let us all out a couple minutes later & had tvs set-up in the library. All the teachers & admin were just staring & getting emotional, but I guess I didn't really get it 'til the 2nd one hit.
