LOL. I love how all these 15 year old threads are being resurrected.

I've seen a few old threads about Darude bumped for some reason, and as seen here he was happy to post on TA and answer people's criticisms. In text he always came across just as down to earth as he does in the video, and you have to respect that. I suppose he's made so much money from Sandstorm that he can afford to laugh about it now.

What thousands of producers dream of happened to him and as far as I can tell he didn't change a lot and kept his feet on the ground.

He's been a TA lurker for years. I've seen threads (back in the day) where he was mentioned and shortly thereafter, sometimes minutes, he'd post. I wonder if he has google alerts setup lol.

The only thing I'll criticize about him is that he'll jump on a thread if someone slurs his name, yet I don't recall seeing a single TA thread where he gave producers or DJ's any advice, even when they were asking about sounds or certain producing techniques in his tracks (unlike Joel(Mau5) or Laurent(lolo) or Dave Dresden (until titties) or Steve Angelo (until the shoe debacle) ....er actuallt there's probably good reason not to get caught up on TA lol.

I still lurk... (And yes, Google Alerts bring up fun things, sometimes from yeeeeeears ago )

While it IS true, that I've on numerous occasions commented on and set straight someone shitting on me, telling straight up lies, I have not whined about someone not liking my music or other taste matters. I just have found it appropriate calling out keyboard warriors who just feel the need to hype up something stupid they made up themselves, or heard a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend say so it must be true and must be spread... :O

As far as the tutorial and advice side goes, I'd refer to my Twitch channel and Facebook page, (and before that my old forum, which unfortunately is not online anymore. Over the years on the forum I posted numerous "how did I make this kick" etc tuts, numerous info and opinion pieces of live sets, DJing, production etc). On my currently rather random Twitch stream I mainly produce and on the side respond to all kinds of questions from production and gear to my dog and studio couch pillows... I've also done some hardware sampling and instrument-making, plugin & sample pack reviews, even stained a wooden bench once

I don't know how to play it, so my great great grandfather's banjo here is just laying around unused. Also, rat poison in Finland is potent, you should move here, so you don't meet your family's fate.

Forums could have a more significant impact on your reputation back when they were a major place for people to congregate and discuss a night out and the scene at large, so it makes sense that some of the more popular names would lurk and sometimes defend themse-
