Simple. They started to show signs of stress in the plastic area by the joint (where the phones fold). These stress marks appeared months before they actually snapped, and they finally gave out in the middle of my set. I was not bending them awkwardly what so ever - I was simply using the one phone resting between my ear and shoulder. Then, el-snappo.

For those trying to defend these pieces of shit, maybe you got lucky. But from my experience, as well as many friends and dj's I know personally DO NOT waste you time with either of these models below.....

Which is EXACTLY why 'dj headphones' are mostly shit. The swivel stresses, cracks and breaks.

hmmm...I have only folded mine maybe 4 times total in 3 years and I never que with one cup in the ear, and 1 rested on the shoulder...I always have both cups on. Maybe thats how they have lasted so long.

I have a pair of MDR-V600 and they haven't even shown any signs of breakage, even though I sleep with them on. I'll be getting the 7506s real soon.
