A girl I know had them and it was not cool. She was hot before, and later when she grew out the bangs but we'd broken up by then.

pretty much the same for me. I've changed it a few times, but i've always had a high hairline, which while not receeding drastically now, still leaves me tending to want the same style. Plus when i grow mine out, it goes into a huge curly afromop, which i did have for 1 year but it got too annoying to deal with.

bangs are good to hide big foreheads...and yes bangs to the side is just hair.

I've had the same hair style since I had hair. I let them grow out randomly until they get about 1.5/2 inches long, then buzz cut them myself and save 20$. Estimated money saved so far on not getting hair cut: ~2000$

I hate my hair.

If I leave it growing "normal" I look like a retard as the hair falls all on my forehead.

If I do a buzz cut I look 10 years old with my glasses. Or like a white Ted Zonday.

If I put gel, I can't shape it proper without using a mega-ultra-super fixating kind of gel. Right now I figure my best option is to put a small amount of gel to spike it just a bit, and that's it.

It's a fairly old style from the 60's, fashions just come back around after long enough being conveniently forgotten... though I do hope someone forgets the perm forever and a day.
