This one was ex-military, still had the armour and run-flats on it. It survived fairly much most of what southern africa could throw at it in terms of carjackers, nuts with guns and me driving it over things so I can't complain.

that's all I can remember off the top of my head, I've modded it way too much at the time, fun times though.

Sold it in '03.
ever since I sold it, I've been looking for a 1975 Jeep CJ-5(to restore and swap everything in it, drop a newly rebuilt AMC 360 v8...droools), those looks sick.

Jeeps and Defenders are pretty close but the Unimog is the mother of all off-road vehicles.

One of the best mud boggers I have seen were those Suzuki Samurai's....Had a beater just for trailriding and even with bald tires that thing was pulling out stuck Ford's. Cevy's and Jeeps, lol.

i wouldnt try taking it offroading especially since its kinda beat. I just use it for pulling out stumps, towing & plowing.

the frame is way more robust and the quality of the metal is better. post 99 have cheap light metal.

ive been dying to find a Samurai! theres a guy that has 2 by my girls house. one on 35's built to the dick and the other pretty much factory. i had a suzuki sidekick 4x4 that i never built but it was fun to take through dirt roads and light mud.
