danny played beautiful music, from start to finish
putting jelo on after danny howels was a mistake, his sound would better fit a downstairs sound, with sydney blu, evan g (or whoever else was playing). Nathan, carlo and m+s would be perfect upstairs. Nice cruise overall..

the only word I can think of to describe Beats Ahoy! 6 is 'Magical'.

it was perfect in every way, from the weather to the music to the people.

Thanks to everyone that made it out!

I'm still tierd, sore, burnt and sill in awe I think this was by far one of my favorite parties of the summer

Thank you to Activate and Footwork!!

This was a stellar weekend- and the boat cruise topped it off. Howells played an amzing set of just pure "in the sun groovin' tunes". I just couldn't have been any happier.

Fitting that this was the weekend I said "i'm closing the book on the summer of 2007..." and it happened to be the last day of the summer. (thanks to bring that to my attention Sasha )....

your "tan" hurts, Kris?

or your "sunburn" hurts? I've never had a tan that hurt, only my sunburns.

Agreed. It killed the vibe for me because it didn't transition right.

Danny's set = absolutely flawless. I was sooo tired from Stereo and Footwork that I didn't even want to go to this but I'm very glad that I did.

The biggest thanks go to breathesteve for suggesting "what about some Miami cd1 sounds?" and then when the 1st tune dropped and it was Subway - Thermal... well suddenly the dead (i.e. me) came alive and I quite happily grooved to the warm, funky, sexy, deep, melodic magic that we were experiencing. Huge amount of crowd interaction from Danny for the entire time, I don't know how he does it seeing this was this 4th set in as many days.

Happiest moment had to be when Bent - Always was played, that right there made my entire crazy weekend.

Perfect weather and some good friends were the cherry on top. Thank you Activate!

p.s. I do realize that this is a review of Danny and not the entire cruise. I only ventured downstairs to use the washroom, the people down there looked messy. The abrupt transition to Jelo killed it for me, he's not a suitable dj to follow after DH. That's around the time I was contemplating jumping overboard to the pier. Deadmau5 did do a nice job to end off though, I do like his sound.

Instead of writing my own, I'll just quote yours, since we're definately on the same page.

Howell's was magically delicious. Bent - Always was the peak of his set for me. The end. The rest of the cruise was ok afterwords.

I'm still awstruck.
