How's the Vegas housing market? Almost everywhere else the foreclosure rate is through the roof, hopefully you somehow worked that into the cost of building the home. Awesome times man, congrats and good luck to you in the future with le woman.

haha vegas is pretty fucked right now. nevada and arizona are heavily dependent on the market of california.

it does mean build house for cheap and offer incentives! the builder has never offered incentives and we got 15k free. plus for the sq footage it is extrememly cheap.

I just hope in the next 5 years the market improves and its worth more.

It will, it looks like the market is going to level out more over the next year or two so when I'm graduated it'll be a great time to buy. After that the market should start going back up. It's way overpriced still compared to the early 2000/late 1990s prices. Houses shouldn't have doubled or tripled in value over a 5 year span. Now is the market's way of adjusting and getting back to a buyers market.

Nice work on getting your moneys worth from the builder.

and there is still stuff to worry about, but at a different level. Like upgrades n such. We wanted tile all down stairs but didnt wanna pay the 3500 for them to do it, so I get stuck with it. plus some other crap. but I find it amusing.

yes but thats better than worrying about a 20 year old roof, 10 year old furnace, a/c that's only God knows how old, etc... etc...
