On the contrary! Majora's Mask was a slightly different pace than other Zelda games, but it was possibly the best one ever made. That's not to discredit Ocarina of Time or anything, but Majora's Mask was truly amazing. I've been thinking about nabbing that promo disc with a port of it for Gamecube lately...

And yeah, the instant access to walkthrough information has changed games a lot. Old games were hard because they were coded like crap though, not because developers have devised some sort of grand psychological template for appealing to demographs... however true that might be.

majoras mask was extremly hard/challenging but still alot of fun, it was a good game. the only bad thing was the save feature, that was a headache.

Posted by infinity HiGH on Sep-30-2007 17:34:

Blsat Corps was pretty hard, but I ended up beating it.

lol, i gotta admit... that place did scare the shit outta me too.

Diddy Kong Racing
StarFox 64

I hearted those two games.

If there was ever a worldwide tournie in DKR, I think I'd be top 10.

n64 was easy to beat.. you must suck at video games.

Posted by chach on Oct-01-2007 01:12:

Majoras mask is easily one of my favorite games of all time.

why?
that one didnt stand out for me. It was expensive too...the gold cartridge was prettty though./

Posted by chach on Oct-01-2007 01:18:

The length and difficutly of the game plus the masks and their different abilties were something new and different. Having to travel back and forth through time, the addition of a helper log, the final boss and Diety Link

True, and you had like maybe 3 lives, and had to go through the whole game with those. And every time an enemy hit you, you died and had to start from the beginning of the level.

like that fucking tommy & jerry game me and my brothers were playing. Never got past lvl 1 except this ONE time, but we died right at the beginning because we had no life left.

My cousin had that one, and it was kinda hard. Then we found a cheatcode that gave you 99 lives, was a little easier.

The one with the zombies and scary music, and when they got you they screamed and made it even more scarier? Yeah I hated that one too.

Posted by david.michael on Oct-01-2007 15:27:

The Internet didn't really change the difficulty of gaming for me, because I still refuse to use walkthroughs and cheat codes during an initial play of a game. I either figure it out on my own and beat it, or I never finish... just how I am.

man i still wanna get another copy of that. it was truly different from almost any game, even today.

majoras was fun, but i was playing the GC version and it just started crashing. definitely a tweak on zelda|

Posted by wotyzoid on Oct-01-2007 19:12:

Best game ever made is still Kingdom Hearts for me.

Someone has way too much free time

Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time are the only games I've ever played on N64 and I love them both. Played NES more though. They were good times <3

Posted by Lomeli on Oct-02-2007 05:22:

Goldeneye's multiplayer mode was probably the most fun I've ever had on the n64.
