Lay off the crack buddy, NOBODY's set spanks PVD @ Space

well I would say Boys Noize, Digitalism, MSTRKRFT... but that was all last year! Digitalism would be nice though since I just saw Boys Noize and MSTRKRFT is coming up. Justice would be awesome.
If Ultra plans to stick with some type of pop/rock band...
New Order - reform and play Ultra with Peter Hook
Pet Shop Boys - they could put on a hell of a dance show
Hybrid - since they were rained out last year bring back Harry Gregson-Williams pleeeeease
Deadmau5
Chromeo since BANG is canceled
Daft Punk - a dream
Z-Trip - lets get a real turntablist up in there
BT - plans on debuting his new (dance)tracks at WMC
Dirty South

Prydz got pretty 'meh' reviews for his show in Toronto over the weekend. Apparently his set resembled his Essential Mix, which I thought was pretty snooze.

He needs to spin like he did @ INOX, that set pwns.

UNDERWORLD!!!

Scooter (does this guy ever come to the states?) and Daft Punk! But if Daft Punk is too costly forget it. Prefer many others instead of just one group

Posted by DistantFame17 on Oct-10-2007 03:29:

Daft Punk is costly but do u know how much money Ultra must have after last yrs ticket prices? they must be banking so i say why not? hopefully they have daft Punk. and other good headliners! PLEASE DO NOT BRING THE CURE AGAIN!!!! if you do put them on another stage.

Posted by raven848 on Oct-10-2007 03:39:

the Cure have their own US tour in June. They wouldn't be coming back anyways, they were last years headliner. Same reason Underworld won't be there this year.

Prodigy made the cure look like shit - then again i am not a fan of the cure. We need a crazy live set like that or a daft punk or scooter (wont happen cause he doesnt have much support and name in the states i think). Also, this year Carl Cox is supposed to have a live set and maybe PVD and others will bring vocals and a keyboardist like they always do in europe. It adds so much more. Imagine the keys while armin is up. Adds everything to the song. Or a violin thing like TIesto did in europe. I would love to see some good live vocals (NOT JES). PVD is supposed to be all live at monster massive - wonder what that is going to be like.

Pendulum live is bad ass. THat could happen maybe. Also IM has to be there and play at night. They just own the states right now. As far as altrenative rock with electornic elemtns, the only successfull band i can think off off the top of my head from mtv that i like are the killers but ultra had them already. Skazi would be big with the brazilians and what not, and i woudnt mind seeing that crazy ass live.

good. The Cure = Snoozefest!!!!! lol i saw a video of Paul Oakenfold djing with an Orchestra. it was awesome and it would be great to see something like that at Ultra. and they should make an effort to set up another big tent, like a trance tent.(more shelter for when it rains.) The Carl Cox tent last Ultra was CRAMMED!!!

id love to see Sean Tyas play this year !!!!

... ANYWAYS, Yea an orchestra set would be amazing but Ultra tried to do this twice and failed haha.

Tenaglia brought it pretty hard this year.

I enjoyed the INOX set a lot, but I thought the EM was still killer.

Bada bing. PVD ain't my #1 anymore but even I won't deny the above. He ain't the closer at Ultra for no reason.

SvD,Eddie Halliwell, Ronski Speed, Marco V, Cosmic Gate, AVB, Rank 1, Richard Durand, Axwell, Ultra needs to change it up a bit.

SO AGREE! Ultra seems to bring the same artists very frequently - changing them in rotation of every other year or two. Maybe they are scared of a turnout bringing names that arnt in the top 10 on djmag and thedjlist but if they want to be a true EDM festival i think they have to bring in more of the well known -non top 10 djs. Marco V, Rank 1, Cosmic Gate among others would be insane...instead of the usualy Ferry and what not.

Like i said in my other post, they should construct a Trance tent thats just like the Carl Cox Tent so they can have headliners such as Armin, Cosmic Gate, SvD, Above and Beyond, and so and so... and to help the rain situation. its not comfortable when about 80 % of Ultra is trying to cram into the Carl Cox tent. lol

True, and overall Ultras true fan support comes from the Trance, House and Cox stages. So i say emphasis on those three with tents (or atleast trance with a tent). THat way you can have the outdoor stages be as musically diverse as they want. Like the big dog top 10 list djs can play on the outdoor main stages and then the djs we all want to see that arnt in the top 10 can play in the tent of their genre.
