-- DJ Mag Top 100 Vote Scandal

Well, to be fair, if we wanted to hold all the "shady businessmen" in the club scene accountable for their shadyness, we probably wouldn't have any clubs, promoters, or DJ's at all anymore.
Maybe Andy Hunter would still be around. Even then I'm not sure.

Originally posted by MeLLyMeL Well.. Shadyness is everywhere. Even I worked for a shady ass company before. What I meant was.. You can be shady, if that is going to get you money whatever. That's your thing. But, if you get caught.. deal with it. Them trying to sue is stupid in my eyes.

Originally posted by isoterra that sounds to me like being incapable of seeing past your own border. the poll started out in the UK & europe long before it was ever a big thing in the US, so the big DJs over here have always had a popular advantage in the poll, regardless of whether you've heard of them or not

Originally posted by RJT I can agree with that whole-heartedly - I just think it's DJ Mag who has more explaining to do than CL or Dan. ![]() But yes, Dan or CL trying to sue over something like this would be utterly absurd.

IMO...
the only people voting in these polls should be DJs, Promoters, Club Owners.
They know whats going on
no disrespect to GTR but if you mean to tell me GTR deserves to place higher the Victor Calderone, I want whatever your drug you're doin

Originally posted by Victor Dinaire what kind of explaining does dj mag have to do? they are cracking down on cheating. its plain and simple. its the DJ's themselves that are having their credibility damaged, not the magazine.

Originally posted by RJT Ah, I see what your mistake is now - you gave DJ Mag credibility to begin with. So for you, this list genuinely represents the best of the best in the world, and these silly guys are just messing it all up with their "cheating," huh? Ah... well, that's a shame.

Originally posted by Victor Dinaire I am not one to say the poll is credible or not credible, im saying that DJ mag's image remains unchanged but the reputation of DJ's such as DJ Dan and Christopher Lawrence will change for sure, most likely not for the better

Definitely agree with Victor Dinaire. He always has a lot of good insight.
People here need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
I'm going to wait for the Dj List scandal.
Cuz I wanna know how Mike Shiver got so damn high.
In all honesty. I don't think their reputations will change much.
They don't have the big fan base we thought they did and the only people who will know of this scandal is a small ratio of party goers.

Originally posted by RJT Anyone with half a brain should realize this is all marketing, so why in the world would their opinion of Dan or CL change if all they're really guilty of is taking advantage of a poorly orchestrated joke of a poll whose only realy value is in its instrumental use to propagate the careers of those taking part in it? Awww, is someone having a rough day today? Always great to see the personal insults come out when someone simply isn't intelligent enough to wrap their heads around the simplest of concepts. It's ok Victor, I know it's only a defense mechanism you use to make up for you lack of ability to comprehend what you read.
