i wear different style of clothing every day depending on my mood so it depends
i shop at west 49 cuz i love skater clothes (comfortable)
i also shop at mexx for nice events at guv and work
and some outlet stores once/twice a year when i wanna splurge on anything
I refuse to purchase anything from Club Monaco. Quality, fashion and style went to the sh!ts since it no longer was a Canadian company when Ralph Lauren bought it.
They got rid of the founders and hastily booted the execs.
At least Joe is doing well

Haha, wtf is up with these answers. I liked the non-"unisex" thread better, it got tedious at times but it was better than some of these predictable jokes.
I used to be able to get a ton of cool shizznit at the Winners near here (Bathurst & Lawrence). They always had a little bit of everything - all sorts of streetwear from Industry, Buffalo, and so on (or Akademiks/Ezekiel if you're into that stuff); boardwear from Billabong, Quicksilver, etc.; sometimes you could even find some decent Parasuco, Diesel, or Mexx shit, if you looked hard enough. It was not at all what most people think of when they hear that name, I was consistently impressed at what they managed to stock.
Unfortunately, that all changed about a year ago. They "expanded" the men's section and now it has 3 times as much stuff and ALL of it is TOTAL crap. So I never bother to go there anymore.
Since then, I've gotten a couple of things off eBay, a couple of things in a store called City Rags in Little Italy, a bunch of things in the U.S. - Macy's bought some men's chain a while back and it's actually pretty good, they carry some of the better U.S. designers like Kenneth Cole, and there's also Dillard's which is good if they have a big sale on (too pricey otherwise). Every now and then I'll take a look in some of the "brand name" stores like Guess or Buffalo, but I can never seem to find much that I like in the Canadian ones; the American ones are often better.
Goes without saying that it's much easier to find something good in Europe. Of course all the massive Italian brands are ever-present, but there's also a French urban/streetwear chain (only in France) called Celio, which I loved, unfortunately just didn't have much time to shop. Not for the dudes with beer guts, but if you're tall and thin like I am then it's perfect.
Overall I'm pretty frustrated now that my once one-stop-shop has fucked itself over. Ebay is way too much effort and stress for me, so I've gotta find some decent stores and distributors, maybe online. Haven't had time to really look, unfortunately. I was actually hoping for a couple of good suggestions when I opened this - too bad most of the guys here are just cracking jokes (yes, the first time was funny - afterwards, not so much).
Oh, and I don't dig H&M at all. To each his own of course, but it always just felt cheap to me, in terms of both look and feel. And in spite of what I've written above I actually try to spend as little as possible on clothes, but H&M for me is pure BOTB. Even the socks I bought there fell apart after a couple of weeks.
