Feb. 10...

COMING ATTRACTIONS

"C's sweep the floor with your Spurzzzzz"

LOL! That's a good one. But we all know the regular season doesn't matter. It's time to rest key players, work on strategy, and develop your bench. It's all about the playoffs.

Noah is so obnoxious, so immature, so self-centered, and so confrontational that I just can't see anything good coming from this.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say, "I fucking called it."

My Take on the Pitiful Knickerbockers as reposted from the NYTA boards:

This season couldn't have gone any better for me. Upon hearing that Isiah took over the coach of the team at the beginning of last season, I've been actively rooting against the Knicks ever since on the court and in the courtroom so he can get sacked. I was jumping for joy when I heard the news that Anucha Brown Sanders won her case against Cablevision and I'm jumping for blood every time the Knicks lose especially since this is the best chance Isiah can get fired.

The worst thing that could have happened to the Knicks is to be successful this season and to live up to their potential of making the playoffs as a low seed and exiting in the first round. Everyone would have forgotten (in the same way the media conveniently forgot about the Patriots getting caught cheating with the spygate scandal) about the sexual harassment lawsuit, MSG would have celebrated the "successful" season by assuring Isiah that he would have a job for life.

On a side note: I'm loving how the property tax for MSG is in serious jeopardy. It's about time that brainless legacy retard James Dolan pays his share of taxes.

Suns trading for an old Shaq seems a bit odd

Even more idiotic is doing it in the middle of a great season. That is just gonna fuck up their rotation and leave a slowed down Suns.

The Spurs/Pacers and Cavs/Celtics games last night was nuts. Definitetly showed who will be doing great in the playoffs. Stoudimire was a great addition to the Spurs lineup. Having Parker on the injured list was a blessing in disguise. Now the bench can beef up and be ready for the coming games.

Celtics are doing great of course but let's see how far they can go just relying on those three and no bench whatsoever. Since Garnett has been out they already lost two games. Let's see if they crumble just like Mavs did last year.

Its official, Suns got Shaq and the Heat got Shawn Mario and Marcus Banks for the Trade.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Feb-07-2008 03:57:

gasol to the lakers?
shaq to the suns?
i have a good feeling either artest, bibby, or kidd (or maybe all of them) are going to be shipped before the trade deadline to any of the top 10 western teams or 6 eastern teams to try to compete for the playoffs.

btw, with the new heat lineup, it wouldn't surprise me if the heat make a strong push for the playoffs in the 2nd half of the season. although they do have the "worst" record in the NBA right now, they are still 10 games behind 8th place in the East! talk about mediocrity arising in the LEastern conference.

OMG that would be a nightmare if they start winning. We need a good draft pick.

I love this trade, I actually cant believe it happened.
I love Shaq. He helped us win our title. But sadly he's not the same anymore and the fact that we got those 2 players is a steal.

I love how we got more for Shaq then what the Griz got for Gasol

What was Steve Kerr thinking? More importantly, what magic voodoo did Pat Riley do again so he can trade 40 cents for a dollar?

well if there are 3 other boston celtics woth ray allen on the break vs just that 1 lone wolf ( chuckle chuckle ), then boston had to get points on that posession. either that, or the refs could have called the foul. well, still a good ending.

seriously, imo, if the chicago bulls want to "look forward" to the future, after letting scott skiles go which i think is unfortunate, because he was trying his hardest sending the bulls the right direction with the personnel he has at the moment, they should trade ben wallace for draft picks or a decent power forward, and ben gordon for a legitimate #1 / #2 player who doesn't have to take 15-20 shot attempts a game to be involved and a difference in the match.

if this happens, think about a lineup of loul deng, kirk heinrich, and a 3rd guy they can easily get from trading wallace or gordon( preferably a power forward / center ) and legitimate players like chris duhon and joe smith(whose career seems resurrected). also, stepalia and aaron gray seems to have PLENTY of upside, and should be major benefactors in the near future for the bulls. in my opinion, i think aaron gray is capable of being the starting center for the bulls as early as mid march, and should be their starting center beginning next year. that's just my opinion. aaron gray can definately make a better difference for the bulls than ben wallace.

just my 2 cents for tonight .................

Skiles had to go. I mean you're expected to contend for the NBA title and you massively underachieve? Yeah, he had to take the fall for the really bad start

Reference

O'Neal has said he is making Stoudemire his special project.

Shaq needs to play his position: 15 pts and 10 rebs, couple blocks without being injured by season end I'll be happy. Suns are already good. Just need that down low advantage in the Playoffs.

PS. Watch out for New Orleans. 2nd in the West(Overall)

PS. Verndogs, becasue your a mod can you fix the Knicks. If not they I guess Mods can't do it all. I was at the Knicks Vs Spurs game this past Friday. Fans went crazy hard against the knicks when they could not score a point in OT until about a minute or so left. Same old result same old knicks. They beat Milwukee but winning 1 in every 8 sounds wrong. Good note is Stephon is most likely out for the seaon as well

As a lifelong Laker fan (well since the early Vlade, Anthony Peeler and Eldon Campbell days of the early 90's..hey, I'm only 25!) I'm excited but reserved about Pau. Would love a ring this year, but I'm not getting too far ahead of myself here like ESPN and everyone else is trying to do. The playoffs will be tough, but I do love how the league has broken out of it's shell and with the recent moves; there's a lot of new NBA excitement around here again. Shaq coming back west will be really fun for the Lakers-Suns rivalry. Still love the big fella, I have three reasons why! Now if Bynum gets himself healthy, I can't complain too much about Kobe, Fisher, Bynum, Odom, Gasol as a starting 5.

Kudos to the NBA and the crazy ass owners for mixing it all up!!

If Jason Kidd gets his 100th triple-double, looks like it will happen with him as a Mav

Posted by Trancealot on Feb-13-2008 21:42:

If Suns, Dallas, or even LAL don't win the championships this season. then These trades are only for fast results.

thank you.... now in the past i'd get shit on for saying this....

but you can thank the NORTHEAST here.... cause the C's get Ray Allen, and KG.... and POOF, NBA is exciting again... coincidence???

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Northeast is crucial to any sport.... all about fans and revenue.... KG became the #1 selling jersey, Celtic games are sold out, everyone across the country is excited about them....

and now the lakers... LA....

no brainer... no one cares about the Charlotte bobcats, the New Orleans Hornets, the TRAILblazers.... all crap....

and its old skool... Mavs were SHIT before Cuban, Spurzzzz were shit...... Lakers, Pistons, Celtics, old skool... people WANT it!
