i'm watching. good game, although really sloppy at times

Posted by Zewad on Feb-24-2008 04:57:

sick first 10 minutes... i mean sick!!!

but slowed down.. i wouldnt say settled down b/c they were on fire to start..

settled in my opinion would mean the sloppyness had subsided...

but nice SEC win by UT.. and +1 for Pearl to mention UF in his post game interview with Erin Andrews.. wow can she ever not be smokin!!??

I thought it was a really boring game, but that kind of made me happy after all the hooplah and such.

$10,000 for a regular season college basketball ticket? No thanks, not even if it's 1 & 2.

I like my television just fine.

Congrats to Cornell for grabbing the first tourney spot of the season!

Yeah....that's right. Cornell!

Posted by Zewad on Mar-02-2008 21:59:

the gator game yesterday was so dissapointing... we will lose to Tennessee on wednesday but then must beat kentucky and then have to probably at least make the conf champ game--- which is highly unlikely to make it to the tourny..

funny how both teams from the national championship game last year might not even make the tourny... and UF is even in better shape than OSU right now....

last night i caught the first half of the kansas/kansas st. game. i thought kansas looked really good and sharp, but it's not like k state is a power house right now. beasley is an animal. they were throwing up stats before the game about all these records he's broken this year and it was just ridiculous. whoever has first pick in the draft is going to get a stud.

the other game that the bar had on was psu and michigan. what a craptacular game that was. no wonder why the big 10 network isn't getting any love.

PSU hasn't been relevant since Joe Crispin. Has Michigan been relevant since the Fab 5?

yes.. i recall PSU beating UF in 2001 knocking them out of the tourny.. it was the year after we went to the finals...

i think crispin had a brother that played for them then too...

89-86 Tennessee wins

Posted by Zewad on Mar-10-2008 02:38:

we lost at UK...

we must win the SEC tourny to even have a chance... we'll need that automatic bid to get in... bummer...

i see NIT in our future... maybe we can win that championsihp...

Not a bad rebuilding year for Billy Donovan...could have been worse

its still a tough pill to swallow given any situation...

i understand that we are young and it wasnt bad for what we had, but success isn't measured in UF land by getting a top seed in the NIT...

Posted by Zewad on Mar-14-2008 02:42:

i cry...

its over... nice come back though... but way too much in the 1st half to overcome...

1st time since before i was in college that they wont be in the tourny....

minnesota is another sleeper team that can sneak past the sweet 16 in my books.
kansas state (if they are selected. if so, they can ruin many dreams) and usc and my original sleepers

I believe Mother Nature won the SEC Tourney

actually GA Tech did... by winning 4 SEC tourny games...

the remainder of the tourny will be played at GA Tech and no fans are allowed to go..

haha.. suckers! thank god the Gators arent involved in this mess..

family, bands, cheerleaders and media... ha

cant believe that either UK or UGA will have to play two games today... ha

edit: FYI... a massive storm is headed to Atlanta right now at 1130 am and tip off is 12pm... i see why they moved all remainder games to GA Tech..

anyone see the minnesotta illinois game ending just now?
possibly some of the worst reffing i've seen in a while
basicaly, minn. dude throws up a shot with about 13 seconds left (minn trails by 4), illinois dude who gets the rebound gets hit in the eye on the way down, and falls down with the ball. ref whistles the play dead. DOES NOT call a foul. so basically, if the play is dead its either a foul and illinois is shooting 2, or its minesotta ball for a travel. either way, they checked and there should be 8 seconds left. turns out someone fucked up the clock so they marked it at 4.8 seconds ( #1), and gave the ball to illinois. what the fuck! there was no actual call. just that the dude got hit so they stopped the clock, reset, allowed the guy to sub, and gave them the ball back. if that isn't bullshit, i don't know what is.

i don't even care who won, i just fucking hate it when refs suck balls

As a USC fan, I'm hoping for an elite eight appearance, but it's a catch-22 really. If the Trojans make a decent run here, Mayo probably leaves for the NBA. IF they don't, he probably stays another year...and will join another great recruiting class next year. Decisions, decisions.
