You should see what Canada Post did to me, ha ha
it was not even funny.
Before anyone asks, I'll just summarise it, my parents opened a P.O. Box in a Postal Office Station and asked for both mine and their surnames to be put on the account (because mine is different from theirs). Well, the staff put both mine and their surnames on a sticker inside the actual P.O. Box, but they didn't enter my name onto the account in their computer system. So, when my grandma sent me a 9-kg parcel from Europe, and paid extra money for it to be delivered within 10-12 days, it arrived to Canada and was then forwarded to Toronto, and in the Toronto sorting plant they checked it against the address and when my name was not found in their system as matching that address, they just sent it back to Europe!!!, probably on a ship to top the mess-up. By the time I found out, it was too late, it was out of Canada already so I couldn't stop it, and only after I asked them to investigate did they find out that my name was not really added to the P.O. Box in their system (that was roughly three months later after we opened it) and that's why the mess-up . So now, I don't even know where my package is and my grandma was told by the postal services back home that it will take sixty days to arrive back there. LOL, so she paid $100 speed delivery for my package to travel around the world and when it's practically at my door-step, to be returned back to her, ha ha
And on top of that, I could have maybe lost so much mail if I used that P.O. Box address more, luckily I don't think I really used it for anything else, so proably nothing's lost. And maybe they don't check small envelopes as rigorously, so they would have delivered them anyways, even if my name was not on the account, but I'm not sure. Well - they have a sense of humour
almost like a bad Canadian joke

Actually, just a month ago when we moved in I was waiting at the house for 3 foogin hours before the ass bandit came.
Rogers only called me 2hours 50 minutes into the boredom to tell me the poos was running late... was really upset that day
just hook up your own cable, its pretty easy , and a lot cheeper

2 weeks ago we had an appointment with Rogers to fix their shitty internet service, on Saturday between 8-11am... he calls me at 9am, but the call got dropped (courtesy of Rogers home phone
) and he doesn't call me back... I call back Rogers Wireless department, the idiot just goes on about the fact that the technician got moved onto his next appointment! i've tried explaining that thanks to the shitty phone service the call got dropped, and he didn't call me back (I've left 2 phone numbers as a contact too! he called only on one)
then the idiot proceeds to book me for tuesday 2pm! i'm like what?! it's a weekday! of course they don't work after 5pm on weekdays and he then re-booked me for NEXT saturday... at that point I just lost it because lack of internet and constant malfunctioning of their modem has reached it's limit... i don't think i screamed at anyone like that before, i demanded his supervisor to pick up the phone, who turned out to be just another idiot, who had a nerve to put me ON HOLD while i was complaining!! and then asked me if i cooled down yet?!?! like wtf!! and this is supposed to be customer support?
LOL! Yeah the representative told me this morning that they didn't have any more appointments available until November! So I was like, "Uh NO, I want this shit corrected TODAY". It was THEIR mistake, ffs...so he put me on hold and got it all straightened out and someone is supposed to be here today by 5pm.
So we'll see if that actually happens, lol.
Oh, and his explanation for the technician not showing up was that "They were very busy". Yeah? Well then I'd appreciate a fucking phone call letting me know that, assholes!

This same shit happened to me with Direct Energy last year. That was when our furnace was fucked in the middle of winter, and it was below -20� for several days. Took them 5 service calls in two weeks to actually figure out what the hell the problem was (and every time they came over an hour late), and nearly another week to actually fix the damn thing.
I have some sympathy for the HVAC guys, sometimes it's hard to know how long a job will take. With a cable installation, it's pretty much the same job every time, so there isn't much of an excuse except for gross incompetence.
Of course this kind of thing only happens when you're dealing with a bloated monopoly, where they don't really give a shit how pissed you are.
