that's cheap, though the yonge bus runs all night..I used to take that when I lived in North York, sketched up in broad daylight

I love living downtown.

Posted by activate on Oct-17-2007 22:50:

I used to live at Queen and Spadina.

Now I live about 3 blocks from Guv

Don't miss Thornhill one bit!

It'd cost me a lot of cash to taxi home all the way from Guv to Derry & Mavis.

Plus, nothing beats sketchy Sunday driving home....right?

I jump into random limo's or party busses and pretend i'm with them...

But when they kick me out then I either take the bus on the yonge line or take a cab when i'm not feeling cheap lol...

Cab is about 18 bucks from guv and about 12 from downtown... I live at Eglinton and Allen

I mean I am lucky enough to be able to take Yonge to Yorkmills and then Yorkmills home ..BUT..it would be much simpler to just hop on a train and go!

There were talk in the past about trying out 24/7 for the Subway from maybe Yonge - Yonge/Bloor or something like htat.

Even that is better than nothing. But still

24/7 trains would be great. Hell, even trains that start at 6am on Sunday/Holidays would make everyone's life easier.

I use to have to work downtown at 9am on Sunday, and would be force to take the blue line bus downtown

How gay is that.

Posted by loca on Oct-18-2007 00:40:

$70-$80

God bless the boondocks. I live right on the limit between Richmond Hill and Oak Ridges. Needless to say I usually leave the club at one to catch the last 99 up to Bernard and then have someone pick me up from there to go home. That or designated driver (my husband hahaha).

Yes! Agreed! Go out, walk around for an hour or two, if that, and hop on the train. That 9:00am time is bullshit.

^^crazy ppl. It cost me $80 round trip greyhound to Toronto if I wanna go that route without the hotel, no sketchy driving involved. I would never pay that in GTA... use the web and learn the bus routes.. write them down!!!!

Excuse you? no.

I wouldn't want to take 4-5 different buses that STILL don't even make it to my door, alone, at night if I lived in some crack head area. I'd rather pay 50$, take a cab and KNOW it'll get me to my door and safe.

Like i said, 90% of the time i have a DD, the other 9% i leave at 1 am, and the 1% remaining is when shit happens and all i can do is take a taxi home. Trust me handing my 80 over to the cabbie breaks my heart.

I used to always cab it home to Thornhill from Downtown.. and vice versa, but my reasoning wasn't my safety. It was because I would rather get there quickly and comfortably.

Oh yes, time as well!
