The misidentification of artist and track names is a common consequence of music piracy

Since I've got it on now I thought I should drop by to recommend Prahlad's debut album... it will really appeal to anyone seeking upbeat melodic psytrance. I swear there is a bit of a tribute to some old epic trance classic on one of these tracks, but I can't name exactly which. Try it out!

Check out also Ultimae records, despite being a label usually more directed to psy downtempo-ambient, you can find a few really good psy prog track in their releases.

Asura - Life 2 (original mix)
Aes Dana - Manifold (morning edit)

Same for me.

Still no mention of Electro Sun in this thread? Geez, guys!

I've found his tune In My Dream one of the most slap-happy uplifting pieces of psy to come along in a while.

that's what prog-psy brings. acid influences but proggy tunes. Anything is possible.

Vibrasphere - Thermal Twist. Proggy stuff but with acid influences. And a damn fine tune as well :O)

I've only got his debut album on CD... it's "Moments of Consciousness" or "Movements of Consciousness" (I was getting confused there)... quite a good concept album, really.

Yes that sidechained thing might sound a little cliched, but that's about it. I'm really excited about hearing the whole thing as soon as it's released. Ultimae Records, Solar Fields and trance = ftw.

I think Electroscape could be a good addition to this thread.

Awesome tune!

Dino Psaras - Voice, which is a psy take on FSOL - Papua New Guinea, is sheer class!

SAMPLE

Other samples of stuff I love:

Astral Projection - The Prophecy
Astrix - Follow Me
Electro Sun - Fucking Music
Optokoppler - Hamburg City
Overlap - When Dreams Come True
Yahel - Cosmos

Posted by basilisk on Oct-26-2007 21:43:

Overlap! Yeah, that reminds me... as Neoris, Dolphin's State is pretty awesome... Party All Day Long too. I'm sure they have loads more (and a new album almost ready to release).

Posted by RebeL9 on Oct-26-2007 22:15:

dunno if anyone mentioned him before but i warmly recommend Silicon Sound. His album Pure Analog is full of melodic stuff.
Also check out tunes such as The Shell (contains the infamous Ghost In The Shell sample) and Ignition. GOOD SHIT

where can you get that?

Posted by basilisk on Oct-27-2007 21:26:

I think Dino's take on PNG is terrible, personally... but if you're really keen on hearing it, look for a track of his called "Voices" or something like that. I think that's it.
