Yeah Electro is the last thing on my mind but I guess that's what they want me to play.
I may go progressive house instead, if I can find good music.

Look into productions by Radioslave and Justice as well to see if that kind of style could be a compromise.

I didn't notice it started that early... At first some people were calling Ferry's music "electro trance", then there was a brief break with electro calling and afterwards came the "electro house" craze which has been very popular in past few months, maybe a year. But seriously, what people are referring to with "electro house" has nothing to do with real electro whatsoever. Farting bassline doesn't make a track electro.

I don't mean to be picky, but "electro house" entered the clubland vocabulary in 2005 when the Swedish House Mafia and MANDY blew up. I've heard educated listeners complain "but it's not electro!" at least since then, so Clovis is right.
At this point, the term has become entrenched not merely in passing description, but in record stores. Everyone knows it carries no relation to the genre electro. It's unfortunately going to be one of those maddening details to bother musical historians.
