How come you don't have Desyn?

Ehh I'm not a big fan of his "fillers" and slower build ups through out his usual sets. He's definitely really good just not as straight forward as I would prefer. I still enjoy listening to his sets.

At trance.nu you wouldn't...why don't you go there instead?

Posted by UWM on Oct-24-2007 02:48:

I'd rather put up with 2 14 year olds than 2000 of them.

"Yeah, lets make a thread thats a poll of yourself if you were the only one voting in the poll, cause that other poll sucks"

But you wouldn't have to get all jealous at not having anyone to "wank you off". All you'd have to do is wank Armin first.

Don't you think that's a little high up? I mean I love what Holden plays, but his mixing is quite lousy.

Um, What? I dont get it, literally.

Posted by Alex on Oct-24-2007 04:36:

Let me think of a list of good producers that don't DJ and then I'll just use that as my list for my favorite DJs.

Makes sense right? Tracks over mixing right?

Fuck you Element-y, that's right, cross-thread-trashtalk.

u're right!!

Is there any problem if I'm going for Ferry Tayle?? I don't care at all about his "name.dj." or whatever... His sets sound so good imo and, most of all, he's a great producer. IMO.

From a purely technical viewpoint based on them dj'ing and not makig cd's Holden and Nick Warren should be no where near the top 10.

Warren is an awesoem dj but his mixing is nothing special.

01. Red Pony
02. Nortec Collective
03. Suntzu Sound
04. Abstract Soul
05. M'Chateau
06. Jacob London
07. Kristina Childs
08. Mark Asbrey
09. Lusine
10. Recess

I've been far, far, faaaaaaaaaaaar more entertained and impressed by local and TA DJs in the last year than anyone else. They've sent me home with shirts soaked with sweat from dancing my ass off, whereas Digweed, Sasha and the like have really only kept me in a light groove.

Ya whoever said Nick Warren is a good technical DJ... UHHHHHH

Not at ALL, trianwreck city, he just plays awesome tunes.

Posted by a98 on Oct-24-2007 15:05:

why do everyone think dj mag top should be the toplist based on their technical abilities? that's like judging producers only based on their produce quality (sound quality, mixing and mastering skills).

deejaying wasn't born with one guy showing what he can do with two records playing music that doesn't matter. it was born with one guy choosing the music that will be played. track selection is far more important than skills. only puristic bedroom deejays believe otherwise.

ofcourse nobody wants to listen train wrecking all night long, but i would rather listen to average skilled deejay play records that i love than excellent skilled deejay play music that i don't like.

9. Mr. Mystery/MaRt, Haak, Sand Leaper, Montana, Idoru, Ory
10. Blovis (both of their egos' mean they won't share with anyone else)

(i'm not voting rjt or mikey as they can sort their greatness levels out with "the eliminator" round from gladiators)

Funniest thing I've read all day. You've never listened to live sets from either of them, have you?
