Yes, it's a very, very good book. I was most pleased with how rich the language is, despite its translation.

It's been in my Amazon shopping cart for two years now. I think this may be the motivation to finally buy it. I'm obsessed with Carthage, and I've never actually read any Flaubert, so I figure it's win-win.

humanity as a whole is at its end, so why worry about pointless humans? Earth dies, then maybe in a 2907680231620342837 years a new race of species will redevelop the internet. Forums will be that beautify & communication will be so amazing that everyone will blow in their pants. (the pants bit is speculations, I cant actually predict that this new breed of super species even wears pants, they may all just wear cathoders & use their own poop to power their everyday living appliances...
