Depends on what size screen you get. The visible difference between 720p and 1080p on 32-40" screens is negligible. Anything larger than that and you should definitely be looking at 1080p.

| Originally posted by inconspicuous you're a moran. It's exactly the opposite. Blu-Ray is clearly something different, entirely. Most people think HD-DVD is just some weird DVD--not an entirely different [see: superior] format. I'd bet money that that fact, alone, has a lot to due with the disparity. |

'HD' is already understood by the masses since high definition has been around now for a good 7 or 8 years, and of course everyone knows 'DVD' by now. Combining the two terms may influence a lot of dumbasses, because the words 'blu-ray' doesnt reflect a video format in the average consumer's eyes. In other words, many people probably dont know what the hell 'blu-ray' even is. A survey a few months back proved that over half of PS3 owners didnt even know their console had blu-ray playback. But on the other hand, blu-ray is being shoved down people's throats with Sony's black box. If you buy a PS3, you buy a blu-ray player. Period. Thats probably the best way for a company to get a new format out the door and running...by forcing consumers to buy into it. |
lol wtf is that avatar
