No no, it was an allegory for religious faith. Determinism vs. coincidence.

The main point of the movie was the conversation that Joaquin Phoenix had with Mel Gibson late at night watching tv. The aliens were just the conduit for restoring Mel's faith in fate.

nothing difficult about that movie, cloned dinos find a way to reproduce and wreak havoc on an island-park and its residents... now 2 and 3...
