Sick I agree with though, it is very irritating when it is overused.

No. Dirty house was first used to describe the style emulated by Peace Division's dark, dirty, nasty shit that you'd only hear at the Zone on a Sunday morning. Tracks that you didn't feel right listening to if you weren't there.

Tracks like "Wherever The Drums", their remix of "This Beat Is", years before the Zone became the daycare center that it is today, long before late 2004-early 2005 when electro house came into fruition.

how can you say that? it shouldnt. but it does. there are enough retards out there that consider 'dirty house' a genre. and my prediction is that it wont be long before its found in search fields on sites like beatport.

PS. The term comes from the ghetto. I guess it isnt a white thing where everything has to make a point or a likeness to terms of expression.

OK, I don't even know where to begin with this. Not only is it nonsensical and racially prejudiced, but it's not even true. "Dirty" as drug and sex slang was around long before the ghetto retards ever picked up on it. The mind-bogglingly stupid version of "dirty" that's now used to mean "cool" only seems to be really popular with white yuppie posers trying to sound ghetto during their breaks between status reports. And it still doesn't make any sense with respect to the way people use it to describe music.

If actual ghetto kids ever used the word "dirty" this way, it was probably as a joke to see just how dumb the ghetto-wannabes would act in order to imitate their idols.

But maybe you're actually using the word "ghetto" to mean "insufferable pricks with shit for brains" - if that's the case then I will voice my absolute whole-hearted agreement.

Stop being the little fucking bitch like you've always been. It's a debate, and you jump in with a "know it all" comment. If you're going to be so irrelevantly mindless, at least bring some substance.

how is it a debate if u start the name calling and "witty" homosexual comments??

oh wait..u called what u were doing prior to that a "debate"??hahahahaa

ok sure whatever u want to call it

i remember 3 years ago u sent me a list of hundreds of tracks asking me to categorize them for u....didnt do it cos i didnt have the time to do so. i guess i shouldve...wouldve given u more "debate" material (even though "dirty house" wouldnt be any of the genres)

I never said it was a "genre", oh supreme TOTA, but a description.

The same supreme TOTA who tried to coin the term "dirty breaks" a couple years back. Yeah, go on with that...

Posted by Ania_xox on Nov-05-2007 03:21:

everything is overused and mainstream
deal with it
we are all just little fishies in the great tank of capitalism

and THAT's dirrrrtyyyyy

I came in here to say that Liam's pretty dirty himself. And no, he's not a genre of EDM.

Posted by DigitalMP on Nov-05-2007 11:56:

Let be known here and now, that it's only appropriate for little bitch Liam to use the term "dirty" when describing music.

And I shall bear the brunt of 50 dirty lashings of the cane for speaking out in jest after the most supreme TOTA has declared "EOD".

Posted by The Highroller on Nov-05-2007 14:54:

Sad

Wow, there has certainly been an abundance of "I hate ______" threads on TA recently. Wah, wah, waaaaah.

Posted by StereoPrincess on Nov-05-2007 15:38:
