its quite easy to buy for laptops. they are generally fb-dimm's and right now they are pretty cheap. ddr2 (which is what my laptop uses) 1gb sticks run $40 for shitty stuff and $60 for the better stuff.

yeah for performance i would agree. i bought some random brand for my pos laptop. its got 1.5gb now. i want to remove the other 512 and insert a 1gb but lazy.
