not familiar with the cem bros that much but yea daft punk would be sweet. Prodigy was to recent - but man did they own the festival.

only real "live show" at ultra ive ever liked.

caught the last track of way out west when they were there at ultra 5 or 6 i think and it sounded good, but cant really judge since i didnt see the whole thing.

Hybrid's performance on the beach at Ultra 2 was the best. Acosta cut them off short which blew ass but damn they were good.

Finished symphony on the sand while the sun was setting and the pills were getting started...

I think over the next few years the organizers of Ultra showed him how much they appreciated that. They didnt let Acosta play 2 years in a row after that even though he was advertised to play.

Fuck Infected Mushroom? No way man. Thats some music no one can stand still for. Its not sleepy filler and progressive. Its straight up madness. Those guys better be at ultra and better play late. They sell out all over the world. Only reason they werent there last year cause one of them had a baby. Shit with all the events they headline, they should def play a night set!

1st price increase for combo tickets...now the price is $129 for the combo plus $31 in fees

They really need to focus on what made them - EDM and not all this mainstream pop shit they try to bring in now like The Killers and The Cure etc. Stick to EDM bands if you want live, there are plenty of them.

I've always considered Ultra a nice lil get together to enjoy with friends but if you are huge EDM fan go to Trance Energy!!!!!!

I bought my tickets tonight. I have been to every Ultra since the 2nd one on the beach. I know there are better parties and such but Ultra is perfect for me. I don't get bored with anyone because the sets are so short. I can just drink my flask and enjoy a lot of artists that I would never go see in the club.

where do you hide your flask when you go through security?

they just check your pockets man... you can put it anywhere else on your body and you should be fine

pick out the security person you want to check you. Last year i had two cameras and got in no problem cause i saw this dumbass not even looking as she pats people down. She was peoplewatching so it was all good. I mean she patted my back down i think haha.

This will be my first WMC/Ultra. But they hold many massives in LA throughout the year. The massives are just too much after you have been to a couple. Too many kids on too many things.

I limit myself to one massive a year now. Usually Tiesto in Concert.

I like the fact of having EDM as a festival. To start I think outdoor show massives are great fun and more so than indoor. Also the whole vibe is great - festival concert like with food tents and choice of music you would like to attend. Oh no... what about the candy kids... who gives a shit. Yea i hate that candy crap but whatever its like goths at a rock show, etc. WHo cares about others as long as you have fun. I think if 90 minutes was the minimum for a dj it would be better rather than 45 or 30 for some. Also in Ultras case i would work on the stage look - i think it seems like no effort in it at all. They could cover the metal siding with banners, tarps, something like they do everywhere else. But in general, festivals are great. Id say its more of a get together with music then a club, but dont see whats wrong with that.
