wow, price of my RT non-stop flight that I booked 2 weeks ago just went down from $615 to $436, but NWA/KLM won't refund the $176 difference...blah! Anyway, great prices if anyone else wants to check it out!

from where? i'm guessing you can get the whole weekend for under a grand with that airfare? a third of that line up would be great to see esp at a real massive!

LAX-AMS, non-stop!

Posted by in2muzikk on Dec-12-2007 07:55:

Checked the flight again today, and the ticket went back up to $584. I read online that Northwest had a policy of issuing a flight voucher good for a year (less a $25 service fee) for the difference in fare if it dropped.

Tried calling them last night (when the same flight was still $436), but the lady told me that I had to call "customer care" at a toll number between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. CST. Then I saw on NWA's website that it's better to email them, as they check email 24/7 and usually reply back within 3 hours. ok, so I emailed them and got an auto-reply that NWA is experiencing "heavier than normal email volume," but that they should return my email within 3-4 WEEKS!

So I was going to call "customer care" this morning to tell them about the huge price drop in the fare, but by then it had gone back up (probably because they read my email right away and hiked the fare up, but are waiting 4 weeks to reply!)

Moral of the story: Northwest Airlines/KLM refund policy is a joke. They will do everything possible to make sure you can't get one, so read the fine print carefully and never expect "customer care" to do anything for you!

All that said, I'm still very excited about going to Trance Energy for the first time!

They won't even give you a flight coupon with the difference? I just got a $100+ coupon on my united flight. I used www.yapta.com to track it. opps I just read your follow-up e-mail.. doh.. i'd register with yapta, and it'll let you know immediately when the price goes down.

Yeah, tried registering with YAPTA, but doesn't look like it works with Northwest. NWA isn't listed on their site, so I forwarded them my itinerary anyway and got a "mailer-daemon, return to sender" error.

Guess I'll see what Northwest says when they respond to my email in 3-4 weeks...

Update: just found this at www.airlinebulletin.com:

"Yapta does have its downsides, for instance, the site currently does not offer the ability to tag flights on Northwest or Southwest Airlines. However, the company appears to be working on fixing this problem, and once it is resolved, the tool will become all the more powerful."

Ah, so that explains it...

Set times? Too early?

I heard Ferry has a 3 hour set at Godskitchen @Birmingham the same night, which means we shouldn't expect too long of a set from him. Although I'm disappointed, but I guess there will be enough great DJs to keep us groovin' all night.

I'm starting to get really excited about my first TE!!!

Sied Van Riel - Trance Energy 2008 Warm Up Set

FULL INTERVIEW AND MIX DOWNLOAD HERE

URTranceZone's very own Toma interviews Dutch sensation Sied van Riel and has a few questions to ask before Sied's HUGE performance at This years Trance Energy Future Stage this Saturday

Feb 23, 2008

URT:  What are your thoughts on the whole DJ Mag poll??

SvR
:  They have been here for years and i hope they will continue to stay here with that list. The rigging however... I think it’s good dj mag  published it... it shows they are watching and it probably keeps others from doing it. The one who gets caught doing it next year would be the stupidest a-hole i would have ever seen J  Armin made it to nr 1 well deserved.. and i wouldn’t know how this years voting would end up. My glass ball aint what it used to be anymore. But it would be cool to see Ferry taking pole position....

URT:  Who (and why) are the biggest influences on your style of music?

SvR:    My main influence is MY life. I try to express myself in my music. Which can be totaly different each time but always has a certain deep/warm driving feel. I use other peoples music to motivate me to go into the studio at any given time.. but i try not to be influenced to much by it as im trying to create my own little thing.

I do tend to listen to 80s / 90s music when i am in the studio and before i start to bash my synths..... to get into a certain mood... it variates from Bell Biv Devoe to Pet Shop Boys or Nirvana ..totaly depends on my mood and the stuff i want to do..

URT: You are playing at this years Trance Energy, firstly can I say congratulations on a well deserved place on the line up!!  How did invitation arrive?

SvR
:    Thank you very much. Let me tell you how it went down. I was in my studio working on a remix. When i got THE call... it was my management telling i’d just been confirmed for Trance Energy.Casa del van Riel was on fire i’ll tell you that. I didn't even knew they had placed an option.

URT: So what are your plans looking like for the big weekend at TE 2008?

SvR
:    I’ll probably attend a party the day before TE in Utrecht. Alot of guys are playing there including Cliff Coenraad, Galen Behr and Carl B... after that i’ll end up in my hotelroom... Next day i’ll be meeting up with people who fly in from Finland,Lithuania,Turkey, America etc . people i know through i-net.. after that it’s time for some interviews i think or something like that.. and dinner then i’ll shower for 1 hour atleast. Spray on my eau du toillette do my DO and head of to PARTEE ..o/ o/....when i think of it.. man i can’t waith !! o/ o/

URT:  What is your all time favorite trance anthem, and why??

SvR
:  I have a few i realy love.... Tiesto’s remix of Silence.. because it’s one hell of a remix !!...Sasha’s Expander ...and Armin’s remix and the Deep Dish Remix of Rapture....  nuff said right ? Ferry’s Beautifull was just added and there is more... but you asked for 1 and i already gave you a list =)
