I just found out that Summerlove will be a all day concert not a rave and it will held at thunderbird stadium and will end at midnight. Has anyone else heard heard any thing about this?

I am a little dissappointed. I like partying all night out doors. Since it is a day time event they should have a beer garden like Magic Mountain is going to have. Dropping a cap at 3-4 in the afternoon doesn't sound like much fun.

Oh shit, I'm probably living across the road from the stadium.....

For those that don't know, I'm moving to UBC (all the way from South Africa) to study.

I'm arriving on 22 August and hopefully will have confirmed accomodation for Thunderbird housing (next door to the Thunderbird stadium) !!!! hehehe, looks helluva interesting.

Does anyone know when tickets close for Summerlove? Will I still be able to buy when I get to Vancouver then?

What are the local DJs scheduled for the event like?

I'm getting in to Van on the 23rd of August (going to UBC for the year, same as Widget is) so this'll probably be the 1st big party i get to go to in Van.

I've heard Q Bert is supposed to be playing! I know this is a trance site but that guy is a DJing legend, it'll be mint!

Okay, well myself and badnewshughes are both staying on campus at UBC (as far as I know) and there are a couple of other TAs who might be going through to Summerlove. Don't see why we can't organise a meetup of sorts.

I'm still not sure whether I want to go to the actual event though...

I went, i had an OK time....nothing special. Music sounded the same all day, nothing special. One thing i noticed when I a was flyering at the end of the night was that there were a LOT of PISSED off people.

there were hundreds of people just getting to the party like 20 minutes before it ended, i think a lot of people just assumed that it was going all night. It was the smallest summerlove ive ever been to as well.

They should of made one stage kickass instead of having 5 so-so stages.
