the problem with this kinda idea tho is that if they all sounded the same, everyone would complain, who wants to hear the same song with only a minor change, let the artists give their own interpretation of the songs, theres always someone out there who will appreciate their mix

Yes indeed. We need those other remixes to see the tune in a different daylight sorto speak. But also think of it like this, the remixes usually sound recognizeable to the original song. The point is that the first artist created a platform which the remixers edit. If all these remixes where seperated songs everybody would say it's stolen. Damn, we could have a whole new forum 'bout them 'stolen'songs then!
