yah but remember the first titles for original xbox were a bit weak and lame, compared to the last bunch of games that were released before 360 came out. I'm just assuming it will happen the same way this time around.

Plus, it takes a while for developers to figure out tweaks and ways to make their games more efficient, especially since they're both so different on the inside. Alot of developers are trying to make the transition from 360 to ps3 as easy as possible by cutting corners.

By the time PS3 gains some momentum in a couple of years, xbox360 would have been out and kicking for a full 4 years and ready for a replacement by Microsoft. Thats also the time when Sony will get out of the market altogether.

In a desperate move, Sony just decided to cut in half the price of its developpers kits, the kit now sells for a low low price of 10k each!

Microsoft's developpers kit starts at 99$

Also you can get an HDDVD player for the xbox at 180$ which includes 5 free movies of your choice, both the hddvd and xbox sell at about the same price as a PS3.

My recommendation is don't buy a console for its movie playing ability, get a standalone player which will surpass in quality both offerings if you're really serious about image quality. Also you won't be stuck with an old console under you tv just because it can play movies.

I would like to get a PS3 for MGS4 and GT5. I don't need a Wii since I'm already buff enough and 360 is full of:

the wii is for when you are tripping balls

PS3 is the better system. When looking at the price and what you get, PS3 is far superior. Right now you get 40 gb 5 free blurays and a bluray player for 400. Not to mention wireless internet. With the 360 u have to pay an extra 100 bucks for wireless internet adapter, and an extra 200 dollars for an hd dvd player.

When it comes to games lemme start by sayin ps3 has a better future because the format of the games for ps3 are bluray, while 360 is still in last gen with dvds. Lets not forget 360 came out a year before which is why it appears to be doin better when it actually isnt.

Now you have to look at the games. Nothin can top MGS4 and ff13. (dont even think about saying halo 3) This is all coming from a guy who has both systems. I have both 360 and ps3 and i enjoy my 360 for halo 3 and mass effect, but ps3 is by far the best system out there.
Even before the huge price cuts the ps3 still gave u more then your moneys worth. Right now the price for the ps3 is simply something many people shouldn't pass up which is why ps3 sales have gone extremely up. All of this and i didnt even mention how the PS3 has free Internet and PLaystation Network service while the 360 is 50 dollars a year.

most of the japanese games are made for the fucking 5 year olds and they are shit

gran turismo is a good game and so is MGS4 but i don't know any other exclusives that i will ever play on the ps3

get the system that has the most games you wish to play.

Wii has more legendary games than any of the others will ever have, but unfortunately we all know a game simply is not the least bit enjoyable unless it is in 1080.

Not for the serious gamers. If the graphics suck and are hard to the eyes, why play it?

Most games (see 95%) are done first for the xbox360 then ported to the PS3, which makes them slower and uglier on the ps3. Thats because developping on a ps3 is very complex and long.

uh...because the games are fun and an enjoyable experience regardless of eye candy?

great graphics does not necessarily mean a great game.

serious gamers will tend to care more about the gameplay than the graphics.

as for hard on the eyes, only the virtual boy (which I unfortunately tried playing Mario Tennis years ago) qualifies as being hard on the eyes.
