If you dont have space in your heart for a mike production you should give up on edm. people blast on about mike losing his touch with his 'electro style', when really it is no more electro than some of the stuff on his first album (from beyond). imo his deep flexion stuff of late is as strong as back when he built bonzai up to the best trance label in the world, with tracks like 'twixt', 'universal nation', 'the legacy', 'strange world'... see what happened to bonzai when he left - it went from the best label, to a label many regard as low quality.
a very ignorant thread starter imo

It's all about:-
Ofra Haza - Love Song (M.I.K.E. vs. Zigi Remix)
The Blackmaster - Black Is Back
fucking amazing.
this is going to be halframbly but here goes. i don't consider myself as a m.i.k.e. expert, but i do know some things, mike has 30+ monikers, the push one, while being his most famous one and the one with the most 'hits' is his weakest. It helps digging deeper with his stuff, yeah ok, most of it sounds the same but then again, mike (and L-Vee for that matter) in his prime (strong emphasis on that) had a VERY distinct sound, you can hear if it's a mike production just by the first bar of beats.
Look beyond his recent productions and beyond 'strange world', 'tranzy state of mind' (what a load of bollocks that track was) & 'the legacy'. as for 'strange world', try the spectrum remix which is really good and REALLY underrated, also stuff under 'the blackmaster' moniker which was recommended by simcut, also solar factor - 'no return', alot of his b-sides are really good, especially the older plastic boy ones. and everything under the 'return of the native' moniker, especially persuasion & his astec remix.
Return Of The native - Future Slam is awesome
m.i.k.e. rules, like m.i.k.e, like plastic boy, like push...

Solar Factor - No Return is a favourite of mine.
Also like his remix of Matanka - Lost In A Dream.

i would like to know why M.I.K.E. wasn't on the top 100 dj list. i understand that its an overblown popularity contest, but his is one radio show that i look forward to every month and then see that he gets (next to) no credit in the djmag poll. massive motion and ice cream ftw!
