Next point, that Trance Addict Top 250 placement. Jesus guys, you are way too kind, #11??? Wow, I could not even fathom that, let alone expect to place anywhere near that. My heart was so warmed just to think how many of you helped that happen, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening, supporting, and most of all, dancing. Last week I had the privilege on Friday on New York to go to PvD at Roxy only as a clubber for the first time in years. That was awesome, to simply party with all of you, without the responsibility of playing as well. You know who you are.

Finally, DJ Mag. I couldn't have asked for a better spot there. #105, just short of the top100, but who cares, it's only my 2nd year DJing, and I really want to earn that top100 whenever it is time. Compared to last year's 196, I better damn well be happy! This was awesome, thank you for anyone thinking I was worthy of this, I appreciate it so much. Armin winning was also a nice breath of fresh air, as most people I have spoken to since, have said he was basically "trance's revival mastermind". And you know what, he really did do just that. After about 5 very "iffy" years of trance, he really breathed new life into trance. Well not necessarily, but one thing he DID do, was make sure to bring key tracks into the limelight, and he did that with flying colors. Anyone who said trance was dead... well... we will see. Us trancers may not be as stylish and trendy as all the others, but that is where we will fucking prevail.

----

i havnt heard him play before. but it is his 2nd yr djing. id say that is pretty good.

he's the guy that killed hip hop, right?

i love sean tyas

yes it sounds pretty similiar but it was bloody good in the 1st place so does it matter :P??

Posted by XaNaX on Dec-05-2007 12:05:

wtf how did he come in before Prydz? Oh wait, most of the top 10 is shit

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Dec-05-2007 12:27:

I'm sure he's a nice guy and all but not a fan of his music. Nor his remixing of songs left and right. And I think there are far better choices than him at 11 on the 'top DJs list'

what really gets me angry though are an artists' PRODUCTIONS getting him all those votes on the DJING list. Liking Tyas' music is opinion. Thinking that somehow music production = DJing is wrong.

Certainly do have to hand it to him for 105 on the DJ Mag in only his second year of spinning.

Yeah but the thing is, he is a really good dj. It's not music that I am into anymore but I did get to see him dj this past Summer and his track selection and presentation in the booth will get any trance cowd riled up. Again, I don't listen to trance as much as I used to or go out of my way to see trance djs but he definitely got me dancing and having a great time.

Well I think the TA poll is the only one I trust.

What does that mean? Trust, for what reason? To decide what music you should be listening to?

Essentially... in the same way you trust a label to provide good music.

Certainly I agree with it a lot more then the dj mag poll.
