I wouldn't worry about it, it's just another par-for-the-course, "Your opinion is different from mine so I hate you/I'd like to see you do better!" trance-cracker - how anyone can be as offended as people seem to get by the above Starbucks analogy is beyond me.

I wasn't being serious RJT...just felt like injecting some pot-headed "mellow out" advice into here...

I do think it's immature to be incapable of accept criticism and moving on. If you can so easily dismiss other people's opinions as "whining", why have such a vendetta going?

I really don't think trance or the club music he plays is really suited for this type of mix. I say it every year but it's not. If it were hip hop, top 40 pop, or hard house even..then perhaps it would work, but not epic/progressive trance and vocal trance/house and all the other stuff he plays. It's really made to build (the tracks) maybe the vocal stuff might work, but even that..the original tracks are like 6 to 8 minutes long, not 30 seconds...no enjoyment in that...even at a party.

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Dec-05-2007 02:48:

i've been out of the asot loop this year for the most part, i should listen at least once to hear any tracks that i missed that might have been big this past year

lol at all the deadmau5, i like faxing berlin and jaded but they're not trance

but hey, at least when 'needs to feel' and the richard durand butchery of way out west come on, it's only 30 seconds to a minute before the next song comes in!

Yes, deep down, in the far reaches of my soul, the euphoric sensations of amazing trance will tickle my innards...but I will do my best not to succumb to these temptations of amazingness...

lol I was scanning the tracklist thinking wtf I know it has to be here somewhere and then I saw it...

37. Filo And Peri Feat. Eric Lumiere - Anthem

Armin would never disappoint. and wtf with 40+ tracks on a disc, is he playing a 45 second clip of each track?

looks like total shit to me

I think the beatport samples are longer.

Yeah, that show where he plays 40 tracks in two hours already sucks so I can't imagine 46 tracks on one cd

Confused

Alot of the vocal tracks are probably keeping the accapela and are mixed with another one... which btw i hope the Not The End - Who Will Find Me Mashup that Armin made for Monster Massive ges a release in the future - fantastic! I'm surprised Thomas Bronzwaer - Resound didn't show up in there - seeing as how it was one of Armin's favorites for a time... Maybe he went based on how the voting is going on for the ASOT top 20

I wish I would have seen Off The World - Super8 & Tab Remix as well as Touch The Sun - Duende Vocal Mix... Oh well... lol. And I've enjoyed a lot of Deadmau5's recent releases, but too much in there and not a single trace of PVD's new album like NYC or Complicated - Even Tiesto snuck his track in there :P

I bought the one a few years ago and it was trash, too many tracks...trance is the wrong type of music to cut into 1.30 samples and paste it all together.
This is just a money spinner for Armada, and it will no doubt be bought by fuckwits who actually already have all the tracks, but feel the need to buy this because it has 'ASOT' and 'Armin' on it.

Posted by Stino on Dec-07-2007 11:49:

yay im a fuckwit because i like to buy such mixes as car and background stuff

I can't argue with that..

Why are you taking people's opinions on this thread so personally? It wouldn't be because you have got one of your tracks on it?

Why do you think he keeps mentioning the goodness of CD1 in particular?

guys, they are serious business - urban pioneers

when i hear the twisted gritty, industrial sounds of "summer blush" it just echoes with dystopic urban landscape and polo shirt

Posted by spc on Dec-07-2007 14:56:

looool another one of these cds

Posted by Stino on Dec-07-2007 17:40:

highly disappointing high low people can go, over and over again.

Ofcourse i can take things personlly, first of all i feel offended on my own taste of music as i share myself in your so-called group of fuckwits who have all the tracks and also like armin van buuren as a dj.

And on the other hand i dont see any reason why you have to post your opinion in such a totally rude and unmannered way, its just pathetic.

And is my track on it? o wait, now i see it, didnt know.... something you would never accomplish
