Man, if this was the case before, i would NEVER use predictive text. It would be too annoying. I can especially see why ppl back then (whenever "then" was) would use spell out their words the old fashion way!

like i said. sony had no problem learning words. motorola just doesn't. i dunno why.

FTW!

I find it takes me just as long to make sure the damn thing is spelling the words I want, compared to just tapping each number the 3-4 times I need to to get the letter I want. That, plus I'm one of those weirdos who purposely spell things in weird ways as part of my 'thing'. Hehe.

what are you doing saturday "might"?

you would think "night" would be used more commonly then "might".

OH!! good one! Thats a common annoyance of mine too!! and i often miss it bc at a quick glance, it looks right.

i think the reason it comes up first, is bc "m" comes before "n"... so its defaul apperance is based on that.

i agree. "night" should default first tho! i did on my motorola phone (with iTap)... phone would realizle i use "night" more than "might" and thus present it by default.

Can anyone confirm, I think Lisa told me at some point that until recently (in last few/several years???) that preditive text (be it T9, or iTap) COULDNT learn new words.

Don't remember telling you that! Haha

There's one on the tip of my tongue that always pisses me off....I can't think of it at the moment though.

I also hate how my Pearl doesn't have the letters that correspond to each digit, like on all normal phones, so the numbers I have memorized by name, e.g. 1-888-ROGERS-1 don't work...but for that one I should just be dialing 611--duh!

I have the E62 and @%#$$@* is it ANNOYING as hell to have to look at the keyboard and mentally go through the possible letters on the number keys

I have generally always had Samsung phones..

My old one did not remember words. My new one does and most annoyances are gone.

It will pull up the word I use more often... but then I will find myself using good more than home.. but then need home and it is ruined.

My old phone would pull up Korean for Jordan, Asian for Brian and Swan for Ryan.

East instead of Fast is something that I get caught on..

Hmmm... I am sure I can come up with more.

I have had Sony Ericssons as my last 2 phones, and I love that you can add words to your dictionary(and have them stay there), Also, If you type "if" (for example) 3 times consecutivly, the next time you go to type it, you don't have to change it from he (If you know what I'm trying to say. Sony Ericsson FTW

not a grievance, but just sent a text and didnt notice it wrote "have" instead of "hate"

and the perosn I texted called me out on it too! lol

Posted by Irishaddict on Dec-09-2007 06:01:

my phone always puts the last combination of letters as the first option

which makes stuff like 'if he' (and other examples i can't think of right now) INCREDIBLY frustrating
